Another Clinton-Bush battle?
I don't know a lot about his ideas but he's a moderate/mainstream Republican, right? So just looking for some discussion on this and putting these questions out there:
1. Who do you want? 2. Who can beat Hillary and Bill?
And be honest, these answers are most likely not the same based on some beliefs shown here.

I would like to see Jon Huntsman or Gary Johnson but I realize they probably will not make headway against Republican bureaucracy.
Somebody like Jeb probably has the best chance but he'll have to separate from his brother. I think Christie is toast. Maybe Rubio or Jindal?

I like jindal. rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Allen west, Paul Ryan, and some more would all make good candidates.
Rand Paul, Allen west ticket would make me happy.
Jon huntsman is a candidate I would support as well.
I think all the above could beat Hilary, plus she'll be busy babysitting his grandchild.
I would also like to see a fiscal conservative democrat that doesn't want to raise taxes every three seconds run as well. I'm just thankful that the current occupant can't run for another term. An unmitigated disaster to say the least.

I think all the above could beat Hilary, plus she'll be busy babysitting his grandchild. That is NOT an appropriate argument to use against Hillary Clinton. It assumes that she cares about other human beings.

It assumes that she cares about other human beings. Even worse for her opponent. They will get a lot of traction out of that baby on the campaign trail. Like it or not, they will be made out as our new royal family like the Kennedys were.

The Republicans going into 2016
1. Chris Christie 2. Jeb Bush 3. Mike Huckabee 4. Rand Paul 5. Ted Cruz
Second tier
6. Scott Walker 7. Marco Rubio 8. Mike Pence 9. Nikki Haley 10. Susana Martinez 11. Rick Perry
I think the VP on the ticket is going to be either be Marco Rubio Nikki Haley or Sen. Tim Scott
I still like Chris Christie because he is an attack dog! Which your going to need if your going after Hilary!
Chris Christie /Marco Rubio ? Chris Christie /Nikki Haley ? Chris Christie / Tim Scott ?

Christie lost me, when he dissed Romney. He's a selfish guy. I do like huckabee and Cruz. I would be happy with huckabee, he is a conservative with an approachable demeanor. I think he is a smart choice. Ted Cruz as much as I like him and I would vote for him doesn't seem approachable to reasonable democrats- the few that remain.

Thoughts ...
Christie is still in the top 3 in every poll! This despite all the liberal media bashing over bridgegate !
Ted Cruz has pissed off a lot of conservatives with the crap he has pulled in Washington. He will crash and burn!
Rand Paul's -don't do anything foreign policy- is a huge issue! That might get him huge crowds at Burkley .. but that's all!
Jeb's biggest issue is his last name !
The door is open for the likes of Pence, Walker, Huckabee and others!
The Republian Party must get away from it's bashing of people on social issues! If they don't .. they will never get the young vote ! If they knock it off...they will appeal to tons of young people.. much like Catholic Church under the new Pope!

Republicans will never forgive Christie for giving the last election to O. I think the top of the ticket will have one of these guys: Bush Jindal Rand Paul Paul Ryan Two dark horses you really should not discount: Ted Cruz & Trey Gowdy(sp?) & the VP will be: Allen West Rubio Cruz My rational for these picks: Reps will want somebody who has proven ability to run an large organization and handle a multitude of diverse issues and crisis.

Oh, Lord, please not another Bush!
I'm not a fan of Huck or Christie. Christie is a fiscally conservative lib. Huck is a social conservative but fairly liberal fiscally.
I'm a big fan of Governors generally though. They have experience in the executive roll. Legislators don't. Walker, Pence, Haley, Martinez, Kasich, Jindahl.
It seems like contrary to some opinions, the Repubs are loaded with candidates compared to the Dems. To me, the fact that Hillary is so prominent isn't indicative of a Repub problem but rather a lack of qualified Dem candidates. It is WAY early but the Dems can't be excited by the prospects with Biden and Hillary as the current leaders. Yikes.
