Smoking and the Military

I have never been a smoker and do not condone it, but the Navy is proposing banning the sale of tobacco on ships and bases. These guys are defending our freedoms and they can't enjoy one thing that any other American can. (Don't get me going on the fact that they can't have a drink. All you 18-21 year olds just can't be trusted. Even if they give you an M-16!)) There's much better ways to educate and help somebody stop smoking than outright banning their sale. I just don't get some of these policies. Am I getting too old? What do some of the younger guys think?
