If this team belongs in the finals, it'll get there no matter what the path. I'll never subscribe to the a lower seed is better theory. Do your best in the regular season and take on all comers in the postseason. I say having Siena in your bracket is the hard path to the finals. Go Saints! AMEN - Preach on Brother Sienafan! Well said. I agree 100%.

Agree with the most of throats here. Whap it comes down to is that, the saints play hard aggressive, they are relentless with Baron. The officials let them play as they did in Sundays Canisius Manhattan game. Baron did not get the call he normally gets. Manhattan took him out of his rhythm. Question can Pérez carry the team 2 games in a row. How well does Canisius shoot in the arena atmosphere. As long as Siena gives 100% and the non controlled factors go their way they should win. Go Saints.

Kenpom has cc a 4 point favorite. Sounds about right. Not too steep a hill to climb. Go Saints.

Per Kenpom, using MAAC only stats.
Offense:
Siena 7th Canisius 2nd
Defense:
Siena 2nd Canisius 7th

I'm sure that's a lot of coach speak lol but can somebody give us the lowdown on what the whack jobs on the canisius board (do they have a board) are saying.

They are not happy about losing Manhattan game and having to face Siena.. Griffs will not look past Saints. We will have to play very well to beat them

Looking forward to Saturday. We can play loosey goosey. All of the pressure is on Canisius. The Griffs haven't made the semifinals since 2002 and this is their best chance ever to change that. We're a young team who overachieved just to finish in 5th with a winning MAAC record. Canisius has the best player in the conference they are supposed to win this game. Next year at home we'll have the pressure on us so let's just enjoy this and hope to pull off the upset!

I'm more interested in seeing what the defensive game plan is. Does Siena stick to the same plan with only slight changes ? Or do something like Manhattan? Or do a combo of the two?

Our guys are playing to win. They believe in themselves and Patsos believes in them

MTS..i don't agree that the kids are going into the game with a nothing to lose attitude and content on the season so far since many see them as having overachieved this year. As D-1 athletes I would think these kids feel in their hearts they still have a lot to prove. the returning players finally have a taste of winning and the freshmen like Long, Wright and White did not lose many games at all in HS and I am sure they do not want the season to end Saturday. I don't believe pressure is always a bad thing as it can make a team play with a sense of urgency, which I expect the Saints to play with this weekend. While it may be a longshot if they can get to Monday night they are guaranteed a .500 record and possibly a chance to play in the CIT/CBI tournament which would be great for this team to experience. One game at a time this weekend and anything is possible

@ hoopsfan- I could not agree more. My only worries about Saturday is the (stripes) bubble wrap around Baron. We aren't going to get a call, IMHO so we will somehow need to score more than Billy and Perez without fouling out four of our players who might look at him cross eyed whilst they dribble down the court (God, bite my tongue). Looking forward to a big loud crowd and the Siena Pep Band energizing the effort to slay the Griffin.
What better way to say sayonara to Springfield than to put the league on notice that we're rising from the ashes!
