The team is believing that they can and will win the close games...we've gotten over the hurdle. Got to give Jimmy and the coaching staff major props for that!

As someone posted in another thread, this team is 7-4 in their last 11 games (updated from 6-4 in their last 10 in that thread). One free throw in regulation against Quinny in an overtime loss, one free throw in regulation against Canisius in a triple overtime loss, one in-bounds pass against Marist... and the team is 10-1 in their last 11 games. Bring it MAAC! A second great road win in a row. The freshman are no longer boys, they have turned the corner.

I think he is adjusting his coaching more.....he always had them believing but now he is doing a great job of managing them like Gorvy talked about in the game thread. He should get alot of credit for that IMHOP.

Even through the horrible streaming here on campus, I could see the determination and fight in all of the players eyes. With a win on Sunday, we will go into the tournament at full speed, ready to kick ass and take names. Jimmy for President, Cruz for VP.

Let's go Saints!!!! I'm surprised they showed me. I was in the nose bleed seats. In all seriousness Quinny hands down has the nicest " on campus" gym in the MAAC I've been too. They only have one level but I was the 2nd to last row from top, so I was surprised the camera panned up that far.

To paraphrase, T has been saying since last summer - the MAAC better get 'us' this year because these boys are good! I'd say he's right. Plus inn the 3 Things you want to see this season (or whatever the name of the thread was, I said I'd like to see the boys go 7-3 in their last 10 games.. Barring a let down v. Monmouth I couldn't be happier with their homestretch performance! Which brings me to another of my point: restoring excitement/expectations - check!

The facility is absolutely the jewel of the MAAC (we didn't bus to Monmouth due to the weather so haven't seen their facility which is also reported to be very nice). The HD Jumbotron was fantastic - with more stats AND A POSSESSION ARROW! One of their ushers told me they also put up running team stats during non-ESPN televised games. The school is working with ESPN to correct that - ESPN uses the same feed and they don't want the stats going out live before the talking heads can digest them, etc. The hockey arena is right across the well designed center lobby/concession area. The tickets for our bus load were split between the section behind our bench and the corner area right next and those seats were great - not a bad seat in the house. Prices were only $11 (corner) and $13 behind the bench. The seating maps on the Quinny website show both arenas and I originally thought they were the typical alternate seating layouts for multifunction one-floor arenas - very surprised to see the two identical arenas like bookends around the center space - very well designed. Other outed posters also made the trip - Saints22, MrSiena and, of course, PPC. Nice drive, all on interstates and only 2.5 hrs from Siena - the bus is the only way to go - Jimmy is keeping the pizza tradition going strong (he'll need a raise John!) - 3rd straight road trip where we found a ton of warm pizza on the bus waiting for us - Thanks Jimmy - it goes so nicely with the victory brews.

Do they let you bring beer on the bus? Last Yankee trip I was on they didn't allow alcohol.

Do they let you bring beer on the bus? Last Yankee trip I was on they didn't allow alcohol. Shhhhhh! I never ask a question if NO is an unacceptable answer. We have a "Don't ask - Don't tell" policy. Many view non-diet Coke as a suitable victory "brew" that goes well with the pie!
