Four teams are still in play, working for that fifth playoff spot and the bye into Saturday's quarterfinals. How will the games of those four teams play out and who will win the bye? How do you see it all working out? I would love to hear your take on the final weekend. For my way of thinking - Here goes:
Siena - tough road game at Quinny - a loss - and a Senior Day win at home vs. Monmouth - final MAAC record 10-10 (first time Siena finishes regular MAAC season at .500 or better since 2009-2010)
Rider - losses at home to Canisius and then on the road at Iona - the slide continues - final MAAC record 9-11
Marist - struggles to win, but gets by Fairfield on the road, but then falls to Quinny at home - final MAAC record 9-11
St. Peters - ends season with wins at home vs. Fairfield and Niagara - final MAAC record 9-11
What do you think?

I agree --- if Marist beats quinny that would likely mean a 6. Right now Marist is a dog in both games though.

Siena 2-0 Jimmy needs to use my Nitro during the Quinny game Rider 0-2 Kevin Baggett has it correct, they are not a good team Marist 1-1 winning Fairfield and taking the wrath of our beating Quinny St Peter's 2-0 I would be disappointed in John Dunne if he didn't get both of those games.

" Interesting how, after the fact, people just knew Siena was picked too low (10th) in MAAC preseason poll. Didn't hear much of that in Sept." @marksingelais I believe a number of people picked Siena to finish better than 10th! Right lads?!

Exactly, although I had to convince many of you early on.

i think just about everyone expected Siena to finisnh higher. If you didnt... your understanding of basketball should come into question what i believe is that many expected the MAAC would pick them at or near the bottom simply because of all the turmoil and turnover. It isnt that hard to get out of the basement in the maac. A solid coach can do it in a year.

I thought they would do better than 10th. - especially after seeing the pre-season games. And talking to a number of other reporters including Wyland and Bonavita they believed the same.

I think most of us realized early on that we had some really good young talent that Jimmy brought in. When you look at most of the roster of the other MAAC teams, with their experience and older players, reality set in that this was going to be a huge challenge. We really have to give Jimmy, his staff and all the kids a lot of credit for making it happen and getting to this position. No matter what happens the rest of the way, I'm extremely proud of these guys. It hasn't been easy but outside of our Saints Nation, I don't think anyone gave us a chance to succeed this year. They know we're coming now.
