What a way to end a game. Call could have gone either way- but Boeheim lost that game for SU! Man, I could not help but think that if that was Jimmy..this blog would have called for him to get fired!

Not likely, definitely, but Patsos doesn't have 900+ wins.

It happened to us this year and fans were not happy about it. Patsos did not act a fool like Boeheim did but he was ejected other team hit FTs and we lost. I dont think its a good idea no matter how many wins you have... but all of these coaches are humans and make mistakes.

I am not a Cuse fan by any means but that was a bad call. I thought it would have been a block last year but with this years rules there is no doubt.
It shouldn't have come down to technical fouls deciding the game.

Hood's feet were planted before Fair began his upward motion. Hood had a little hip thrust in there, but that doesn't matter.
If anything, I would say that this is another piece of evidence that the new rules are not good. This shouldn't be such a close call.

Agree the new rules have caused alot of inconsistentcy with the charge call.. the officials have to interpret the play differently than they have always done in a split second and human error comes in to play.

Boeheim didn't lose the game. I said the same thing and was ejected too. Syracuse got Duked.

Syracuse isn't use to playing this caliber bane on the road. Boeheims defense... "we get that call every time at the dome"

Syracuse's home schedule is the same as all the other top BCS programs. Duke for example didn't even PLAY a road game until January 4. It's first win on the road came on January 22. If they ever want to improve basketball games to the level it was in the 80s one thing they could do is mandate that programs schedule the same amount of home games versus away games. This would eliminate guarantee games and a bunch of very low major programs would fold. Less teams would improve the quality of play overall and maybe some of these crazy new rules wouldn't be tried.

I think Boeheim lost it also because they called a block on Gbinje when he was set and Parker ran him over, Duke was getting the calls.
