......has made it very likely he isn't going anywhere. Soooo, it looke like Audu is the odd man out, and would be the most likely player to leave in order to open up a scholarship for the several players JP is still recruiting for 2014-15.
Which way does he go with the ONE scholarship that he will have available? Most say Taplin (grades are HUGE issue), or another combo guard. Some say a shooting big that can rebound the ball?
Let's hear your thoughts....

Have to go with Taplin if he qualifies – he fits our biggest need best- if he doesn’t get the grade- then not sure- I don’t think we need another 6’3 to 6’6” guy we have( in no particular order) Oliver- Poole- Cole- Long- Paige- White. Could go an athletic big route – but they are tough to come by – if we can’t get Taplin or someone like him ( a quality combo guard) then I’d probably hold on to ship for 2015 or transfer

Combo or backup pg. Taplin or similar that are good scorers and solid defensively. On a side note... as we see this evolve... a guy like wincowski hopefully is in the cards when Poole is done

And who knows I could see Hymes getting his degree and heading closer to home for his lady year. Heard that from multiple sources

I'm leaning toward Quadree Smith or a similiar type player. I see his game really fitting Jimmy's system well.

I think we will see at least 3 new players next year: Jimmy Paige Sterling Taplin The Big from Holderness or the mystery recruit (wing/3/4) we still hear about from time to time or the huge kid 6-7 280 who would control the lane. It seems to me that Oliver has not necessarily saved his scholarship but rather has made himself more marketable. I too have heard that Hymes, with degree in hand, may be done at Siena after this year.

interesting on Smith. Apparently some issues between father and Paul VI coach. The father was apparently upset that they had a pizza party etc planned to celebrate the signing of Smith to UNCGreensboro. Paul VI coach thought that he shouldnt sign that early at that level given that he was a quality big man and figured he could go higher if he waited. He transferred to a school in Maryland.
"The elder Smith said the move stems from his fallout with PVI head coach Glenn Farello, who he accused of interfering with his son’s recruitment and being angered by the decision not to sign early with UNCG.
"They had a big pizza party and all that planned, but I told him we were never signing early," Rob Smith said. "Personally, I never saw a reason for him to sign early, because big men are in high demand, so there was no need to rush as far as I’m concerned.”

Although some only point to his shortcomings (pun intended), he would leave a 1000 pt scorer and have his degree, not too shabby. I still think we need and will have better options than Wincowski, JMHO.

And who knows I could see Hymes getting his degree and heading closer to home for his last year. Heard that from multiple sources I didn't realize Hymes was on target to graduate early! Well done by him. I personally hope he returns next year, but would understand if he left with a degree in hand to be closer to home.

Well done by him. I personally hope he returns next year, but would understand if he left with a degree in hand to be closer to home. I wouldn't be happy with that. I would like him to stay and be a part of Siena's success. I think he deserves that. He was there for the team when he was the only option, loyalty should be part if this team's philosophy.
