In a battle of the winles teams in MAAC play last night, St. Peter's Desi Washington hit a buzzer-beater to beat Fairfield 56-55 (he apparently also got T'd up in the final minute).
I had no preconceived notions of Fairfield being good this season, but expected them to at least compete for a mid-tier position. They have the least amount of overall wins in the league (3) and haven't showed any signs of life.

wow seems like FF is stepping back every year they lose Cooley players

Their situation is exactly the reason a player like Taplin has to be the priority recruit over a big. Fairfield has enough size and decent bigs to compete in MAAC but their G play, especially at the PG spot is terrible and that's what wins in the MAAC.

Agree 100%-- we are one sprained ankle away from being in a world of $hit.

I had my doubts on Fairfield when the preseason rankings came out...
Without a true point guard, you are not doing anything much at all.
