Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully Iona doesn't get killed.

Funny thing about the UD Arena...everytime I see it I think of Ronald Moore's daggers against Ohio State and Iona's meltdown a couple of years ago against BYU.

Tough game for the gals- Dayton too much talent-- Iona has some nice talent-- but zero discipline

Dayton was in the Top 25 earlier in the year. A 12 point loss on their court isn't horrible. A lot better than a home beating by St Bonnie for Iona, anyways.

Agreed-- the final margin a 12 point beat down isn't bad, but it isn't indicative of type game it was. Dayton was in total control, entire game. I was impressed by Iona's offense, they have a lot of options on offensive side of the ball-they will simply out score a lot of MAAC level teams. Gals sometimes just go thru the motions on defense-- and it shows against better teams-- also agree the home loss to Bonnies was bad for Iona-- but keep in mind ST Bonaventure basically turned it into a neutral court game --according to some reports Bonnie fans actually outnumbered Iona fans. On a brighter note for Iona fans- Cluless teams win every year but they seldom ( maybe never) have beaten a more talented team because of their defense ( or lack thereof) so Cluess could be at Iona a long time. His teams are fun to watch, they can really get up and down the court and score. A fun style, players like it, fans like it.. and given Iona's location close to city always will be transfers willing to go to a low budget low major like Iona
