Manhattan 86 South Carolina 68 (Colonial Life Arena, Columbia, SC)
Beamon 8-14 FG 3-4 3pts 7-7 FT...26 points
Alvarado 4-8 FG 2-2 3pts 9-10 FT...19 points
This is Manhattan's only game against a "Upper Tier" conference opponent this season. South Carolina isn't that good this year, seven freshmen.

Those Fordham and GW games were big time missed opportunities by Manhattan. Had they won those they would have been almost impossible to leave out at 17-3 or better in the MAAC if they lost in the MAAC Championship.

GW is really good but yes would have been a quality win for them. The Fordham game at home hurts. Both were at home. I still think Manhattan would have a decent chance if they went 17-3. The problem is I don't see them going 17-3 more like 15-5 or 14-6. The MAAC might not be very good but I think the league will be very competitive top to bottom. No great teams and no truly terrible ones either.

17-3---- it is completely ridiculous that a league like the maac is playing 20 games. It is going to be even harder to get an at large with 10 games minimum plus maac tourney games against sub 200 teams. This is one of the major reasons why Siena needs to get out.

Yup, 20 games is horrible, no conference should ever have 11 teams.
