88-67. I know it's apples to oranges, but I love how people say negative things about teams when we play them. Purdue isn't very good, if we can't beat them, etc. etc. , what problems we have. My point is I'm encouraged by all the positives I see in our young team especially when I see a team like Purdue take it to an ACC team like B.C. I know they're 3-5, and you can't really compare game to game but still! B.C. had a 2 point loss to UConn. I think it gives us a lot of optimism for this young team and should give our kids confidence that they can stay with and start beating these teams in the near future.

Based in what I saw over the past few weeks I'm optimistic entering MAAC play. I'm looking for and expect to see steady improvement and a reduction in fouls, Also, we should be getting JO back which will help.

Purdue is not a bad team at all. Probably mid-pack in the Big 10 but not at the bottom. We should have beaten them in Orlando and played their neck and neck on the road. If we bring this effort and focus every night we are going to do very well in the MAAC this season and we will be very tough at the TUC. We've played a brutal schedule... Memphis, St. Joe's, Purdue, LaSalle etc should prepare us for conference play. I'd rather be 2-7 playing them as opposed to being 5-4 playing NJIT or Binghamton etc.

If these kids, the freshman, could be hypnotized into believing they are sophomores, we could win a lot of games.

I guess that depends on how many are in your "pack". They will be behind Mich St, Michigan, Ohio St, Indiana, Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin almost definitely. That puts them in a fight for 8th with Minnesota, Northwestern, Nebraska, and Penn State. Purdue is not clearly ahead of ANY Big Ten team.

I guess my point was that it's still the Big 10, any way we look at it. And with us in our re-building mode, it's great to see our kids staying with a team from that league of that caliber and/or prestige.

Colorado just upset Kansas (running 3 at the buzzer) 75-72; where Colorado never trailed in the 2nd half. They ere up 4 w/less than min to play & Kansas tied it up w/ 03 secs left.
