]Josh Duell career 3pt % = 35.5% Brett Bisping career 3pt % = 35.5% No kidding. Josh Duell 90 3 pointers made- most of them at critical times in the game when it meant something Bisping 11 -3 pointers made- a grand total of one 3 pointer that actually meant something Nice try-- nothing but bait.. Brett may or may not turn out as good or better than Duell-- but he has a lot to prove before anyone says Brett is better in my book

We have gone thru this a) Duell and Bisping about same speed a foot b) Duell much better shooter and most importantly Josh was fairly quick release, Brett's release is fairly slow c) Duell had for lack of better word Panashe-- a flair for dramatics-- Josh never had a deer in the head lighyts look that Brett often has- in Brets defense by the time I saw much of Duell he was already a junior. I will say this if Brett has a career as good as Duell-- he will have done well Bisping is not anywhere close to being fast or quick (lol), but sorry he would TOAST Duell in a race or a full court sprint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK I'll give you that one

Josh hit 0 3 pts as a Siena Freshman. I think comparing career stats at this point is a bit rote. (yes I know he wasn't at Siena - my point is his legacy didn't begin until his sophomore year, we should afford Brett the same luxury).
What I do know, is that Brett put in a pretty Duellian performance on Tuesday. Gritty, took charges, hit a big 3 at a big moment.

In comparison he may be more like Mike Burhman. Slow, can shoot the 3, and willing to take charges.

He made 38 threes. He redshirted in his transfer year. The main category Duell might better in is assist ratio. Too early to tell from Brett yet but looking good this year.

Duell played 2 years at Vermont. His Siena "legacy" began as a 4th year Jr.

I love how we comapre Bisping to every 6'6"-6'7" white guy in Siena history! lol He reminds me of Lou Fedullo! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) On a serious note, any guy that plays this hard you have to root for. I'm glad he finally came through, and here's hoping he'll have the confidence to be a factor the rest of his career after his coming out party Tues. night!

Andre: I met this doctor, Dr. Maxwell. Real class act. Pete: Is he... black? Andre: How'd you know? Pete: Nine times out of ten, when a sportscaster is referring to someone as a "class act," they're talking about a head coach who's black. "Tony Dungy, what a class act." Kevin: "Total. Lovie Smith—class act." Andre: I never noticed that. I mean, it happens all the time? Kevin: It's not just football. Sportscasters use these code words in all sports. If they're talking about a Latino player in baseball, like, "Ozzie Guillen is a..." Ruxin: Firecracker. Latin guys are always firecrackers. Pete: Spark plug. Kevin: Spark plug in the clubhouse. Ruxin: Wes Welker is like a gym rat, a real scrappy player. Kevin: Which is code word for "white." Ruxin: Always a white guy.

We should discount Brett's first year as the PW did not utilize, let alone develop any of Brett's skills. We had many assistant coaches who wanted more 3 pt shooting from him on feeds from the OD clogged post but the PW wouldn't agree.

I still think Miller is the best comparison. Both list at 6'8 230. Both came in known as bigs that could strech the defense. Miller turned in to an enforcer/tough guy for the team that was willing to mix it up. He might be a little bit more athletic than Brett, but I envision Brett developing into Miller's role: score a little, rebound, play good post defense, set solid picks and make the effort plays.
The best team Siena is going to field is not necessarily the top 5 individual talents, 5 most athletic guys or the 5 guys who put up the best stats ... it's the 5 guys that play best together. Whether it is Brett or not remains to be seen, but every team needs a guy that is willing to sacrifice his own stats/body/glory to make the team better.
