I've always liked Bisping from day 1, but last year didn't give us much optimism. Between the results of this last game and the opinion of a fine coach like Gary Williams, maybe we're seeing the beginning of something really good. This might be a prime example of better coaching having ignited the maturation of young talent we weren't going to see with PW. Very encouraging.

I'm not surprised that Bisping has blossomed this year! When you look at all the great coaches in college basketball - including Fran and Jimmy. They had two things in common..they are intelligent and see themselves as TEACHERS of the college game. As a result..they very firm, inspiring, have their players working hard and don't accept anything less than perfection.
As John Wooden once said..“Profound responsibilities come with teaching and coaching. You can do so much good–or harm. It’s why I believe that next to parenting, teaching and coaching are the two most important professions in the world.”

Vermont wins the AE every other year starting 2 forwards like him. This kid has a really great year in him at some point. If Kyle Downey can turn in one great year, this kid can definitely do it. I mean, the kid has his own indoor basketball court.

Not sure if Bisping will ever have more of a "homecoming" game than this Sunday vs. Purdue. I hope he continues with his strong play throughout the weekend and beyond, and that some of his family and friends back home get an opportunity to witness it.

First of all the MAAC isn't the AE-- nobody wins the MAAC starting two guys like that By Jimmy’s own words Bisping is a slow plodding forward. Bisping can have a year similar to Duell- who was never all MAAC but was never the less an integral part of two very successful years at Siena. Much like Duell who gave us a much needed talent bump when he arrived as Siena's talent level went up it got tougher for Josh to play significant minutes

So was Corey Osinski. Duell would have played more minutes if his knees held out. As for Bisping, the Siena player I'd liken him to is Justin Miller, though I think he might be a little smaller. Every team needs a glue guy willing to give his body up, Bisping seems destined to be that guy for the next 3 years. Love his competitiveness and desire. If he is surrounded by dynamic scorers/playmakers, he will be an invaluable piece of the puzzle.

Corey Osinski, or more commonly known as the "Pride of Schalmont"..........was NOT slow or prodding, he was very athletic and could get up and down the court with ease!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bisping can have a year similar to Duell- who was never all MAAC but was never the less an integral part of two very successful years at Siena We've gone over this exact conversation before but I maintain Bisping is quicker, more athletic, and as good or better, in every facet of the game than Josh Duell. He's got all the tools he had and more. If Jimmy prefers more of an athletic defensive frontcourt, that's fine...especially if you have great all-around guards. On a team, where shooting and generally mistake-free play is needed out of the frontcourt...Bisping might need to be your guy. He'll make his FTs, score some points, get some boards, and avoid turnovers. It's not flashy but over the course of a game, it makes a difference. He's the polar opposite of Silas and JO, and that's a good thing for this team this year. Bisping is a settling presence as long as he's playing good defense. Wolfe could turn himself into the best of both worlds but that's on him.

Steve McCoy was pretty good despite being a slow plodding forward. McCoy never played in MAAC he was prototypical AE ( or back then NAC) power forward Corey was nothing like Bisping, he was smaller and much faster a foot Duell would have played more minutes if his knees held out. He may have- but I doubt it- as Rossiter was developing it was becoming increasingly hard to keep the much more talented Ryan off the floor As for Bisping, the Siena player I'd liken him to is Justin Miller, though I think he might be a little smaller. Every team needs a glue guy willing to give his body up, Bisping seems destined to be that guy for the next 3 years. Love his competitiveness and desire. If he is surrounded by dynamic scorers/playmakers, he will be an invaluable piece of the puzzle. Again not even close comparison to Miller- Justin was long lean and fairly quick. I do agree Brett can be a glue guy and a very solid piece for Siena over the next few years. Problem Brett has is JO and Long are freshmen and the lord willing are not going anywhere anytime soon, add to that the extremely talented ( but raw) Wolfe also a freshmen and I dont really see Brett ever being a ALL MAAC player- and that's not a shot at Bret more a testament to the talent Jimmy is bringing in at Siena And it doesnt mean Brett cant be a real good player for us

We have gone thru this a) Duell and Bisping about same speed a foot b) Duell much better shooter and most importantly Josh was fairly quick release, Brett's release is fairly slow c) Duell had for lack of better word Panashe-- a flair for dramitics-- Josh never had a deer in the head lighyts look that Brett often has- in Brets defense by the time I saw much of Duell he was already a junior. I will say this if Brett has a career as good as Duell-- he will have done well
