.....so satisfying to see ALL the kids get after it defensively against a deeper, more talented and experienced team from a better conference.
--Bisping was PHENOMINAL!! Played out of his mind against bigger, stronger players. Gave us big minutes inside when both centers combined for only 18 minutes.
--Silas only got 16 minutes in, but was also a pleasant surprise. 5 reb, 3 blocks and 3-4 from the field in that foul-plagued game (Jimmy should have sat him for a few minutes when he got his 4th early in the 2nd half....especially knowing he didn't have J.O.)
--Lavon is a beast, and quietly becoming our best all-around player. 15pts, 5reb, 3blk and 2 stl..........great game!
--Wright played a real good floor game (7 assists) and Jimmy gave him the ball at game time and the kid came thru with flying colors!
--White is just a tough S.O.B. that I think epitomizes the change in this programs attitude. Fearless and knows how to play. Big three at the half, and unselfish dish to Lavon for a "and 1."
--Hymes has a role on this team with his quickness and abilty to score the ball. He even stuck his "nose in there" a few times tonight! Huge steal late. Established himself as a scoring boost off the bench.
Roles are starting to come together, and sorry, but it speaks volumes that our "1st team All-MAAC" player was invisible and we won the game. Good to see the ball spread around, and getting everyone involved. Winning basketball!!
Could be a fun season folks, and defintely a bright future.

This will be a fun season for sure... we will be up and down but it will set the foundation for the next three years. These freshmen are going to be stars in the MAAC. Long, Wright, White, JO and Wolfe will all eventually be all-MAAC players probably at least twice in their careers at Siena.
Having a good head coach and PG makes all the difference in the world. Jimmy's made an impact all ready. He is changing the culture with the team.

HJ, your ignorance is sometimes just overwhelming. Just as your "Minnesota Miracle" (that you later repeatedly threw under the bus) had a great game when 2 guys or 3 guys were clamping down on Rossiter and no one was guarding him, so too does having a perimeter player draw a lot of double coverage open things up for others. It is a long season, let's see how it plays out before we start annointing "stars" and dismissing others. At the beginning of the game 2 of his first 3 "treys" rattled out without going down and the third was just off the mark. Nights like that happen. At the end of the game he was the power forward against a bigger stonger team that held on. Hardly invisible I would say.

If roles are comming together what happened to Oliver in the second half? I though he gave us some good minutes in the first half hitting a nice 3.

BUT Wignot had to play out of position his whole career there and that was okay during our "debate." LOL, you're such a clown. You're right, Poole won the game. He had a hat trick right "hockeyguy?" wow,....stick your head back in the sand Hitler. ps---anyone that thinks Poole was getting double teamed tonight is a fool. He just had a good athlete on him, and a good ONE can cover him because he doesn't put the ball on the floor well. Stop making this kid out to be something he's not (a "great" player) He's a solid role player, thats it. And if this team wants to keep winning, he'll take 10 shots a game, not 14-17. Sure Bonaventure saw the stats, and wanted to stop him, but stopping him just let the other, more talented kids, show what they could do. Sorry if that bursts your bubble, but it's the truth.

Don't know if you were on the board early in the Big 3's sophomore year (2007-2008) but I predicted that Siena would have 4 of the best 15 players in the MAAC. I was wrong. Ubiles/Franklin/Moore/Hasbrouck were 4 of the best 6 or 7 players in the MAAC. Now I'm not ready to make a declaration like that but all 5 of the freshmen are really really talented. I will predict Lavon Long will be the MAAC ROY and be a three-time all MAAC player. The kid is a beast and will compete at a very high level for 4 years. I can't wait until he gets even bigger and stronger and more fimilar with the D1 game - he will get even better!

Awesome win. Just enjoy it. It took a last second shot to win after blowing a 10 point halftime lead. If that game goes OT chances are Bonnie's win.
Great game by #31. He won this game tonight.

On the way home tonight, my wife said everyone on the site will really be happy. And I said to her, don't worry there's a couple of jerks that have to be negative even after a great win like tonight. She said, you've got to be kidding, why ? I said that I don't get it either, honey. This kid carried us scoring the last couple of games, tonight wasn't his night offensively. I think everyone else but you understands that happens in sports. Did you have a bad childhood or something.

That's because you don't private messages from this lunatic callng me a racist for saying Poole isn't the best player on the team!! lol
Can you see a direct correlation between the TEAM spreading out the shots tonight and not having one guy shooting all the time? It resulted in a WIN!! All this guy wants is for Poole to score 25 a game, get on some BS MAAC team, and show me I know nothing about basketball. The minute the freshman played poorly in their first college road game, this clown private messaged me, making fun of the freshman I said were so good, and how Poole is by far our best player. I root for every guy to do well, including Poole. This guy, though he'd never say it ON the board, is rooting for the Big 3 I annoited, to fall flat on their faces. He more about proving me wrong then he is about the team winning games.
I just want wins. I'm tired of losing. The post you're referring to was 90% POSITIVE and now you feel a need to call me out and insult me? Good for you Billy Joel. You don't like my posts, don't read them.

I feel your pain. Why not try, after a great win like tonight, to be totally positive for once. You said some great comments which we all would agree with. But you had to, for no good reason, take another cheap shot at Rob. Go Saints!

But you had to, for no good reason, take another cheap shot at Rob. Go Saints! Take your own advice. I WAS positive. That post was positive. Poole had a really bad game, and we won. Any light bulbs coming on? TEAM comes first. No more 14-17 shots for one guy. We don't need that. The OD years proved that didn't it? Kid that takes the most shots, by far, on our team, makes one basket and we beat an A-10 team. Fans that "get it" will see the big picture. Saying a kid had a bad game is hardly a cheap shot, but you people love to live in la-la land. GREAT win, I hope we win every game, and Robbie makes every shot he ever takes......same goes for every Siena player. Sad thing is some idiots do root against kids to prove their points out here!?!?! So F'ing sad, but true, and I have the PM's to prove it.

If roles are comming together what happened to Oliver in the second half? I though he gave us some good minutes in the first half hitting a nice 3. Did you see the game? Oliver gives nothing. He hit a 3, so what? In 4 games, he has 4 3's , a turnover, and 3 rebounds. Those are his total stats. If he's not hitting shots, he's a huge negative.

Oliver is getting caught in a numbers game. White is the future, Hymes is buying in and playing better ( IE playing some D) doesn't leave a lot of time for Oliver

Oliver is getting caught in a numbers game. White is the future, Hymes is buying in and playing better ( IE playing some D) doesn't leave a lot of time for Oliver I've always been higher on Audu than Oliver. I've never really seen Oliver give anything but an occasional 3. He doesn't make mistakes because he doesn't do anything. Audu is out of control sometimes, but much more athletic and maybe Jimmy and staff can teach him some control. Based on what Jimmy said last week, hopefully Rich is back for Cornell.
