MAAC went 1-5 yesterday, its only win coming from Manhattan's COMEBACK win over Columbia to eek one out, 71-70. MAAC Scores 11.12Also of note: Ashton Pankey and Rhamel Brown both fouled out of that one. The two are averaging 4.75 fouls per game so far this year. Their front line's penchant for fouling may mitigate the advantage they are expected to have down low this season. Growing pains are prevalent throughout the league this year, but it's apparent that no one team is establishing a clear superiority at this time (which I realize is riduiculously early still).

MAAC play is going to be an unpredictable mess. Richards is carrying Manhattan right now. Iona's first game was a pretty lackluster performance. Richards is 10 of 15 from three so far this year. Manhattan will be at the top of the league but any team could still beat anyone on a given night.

Richards can shoot the ball - Manhattan shot over 80% from 3 last night (?!?). It looks like Manhattan knows who SHOULD be shooting 3's, and only allows those players to do so.
Iona giving up a lead is classic Cluess, I don't think they grow out of that.
Through two games (and some MAAC teams have only played one so they're being discounted) Quinnipiac may have put in the two strongest performances. Don't be suprised if they finish near the top of the table.

Last night dropped the MAAC from 16th in RPI to 24th Looks like the MAAC will be 1-2 or 0-3 tonight, so I don't think there will be much improvement in the short-term. Saturday there are seven MAAC teams in action, with a few "up" games thrown in there.

Last night dropped the MAAC from 16th in RPI to 24th I'm not sure who wins tonight either. Marist at St. Joes....NOPE. Hartford at Fairfield....you'd think so but god knows with FF's guards. Buffalo at Niagara....who knows. Niagara doesn't look like they can shoot threes and Buffalo has Javon McCrea defending the paint.

Hartford should be tired.
