Beard, Gomis and Hooper ... PW recruits who will end their careers playing D2 or lower. Pretty much says it all.

Beard would have been a player, homesick but a player.

If Hopper redshirts, he then has 2 years at his next school I believe he will only have 2 years remaining if he goes D-2 or lower. You only have 5 years to complete 4. If he transfers to another D-1 school he still has to sit a year at the school he transfers to. That was the reason Mason stayed at Niagara because he already had a redshirt year and he would have lost a year of eligibility if he transferred. If he redshirts, the NCAA will make him eligible next year, where ever he is. They have have evry player who has done something similar. That's why Malcolm Gilbert is playing for Fairfield this year.

Too bad he had experience that would have helped this young team early on. Hope White gets better soon Hymes at the 2 is not the answer, the kids can score but is a huge liability on D. White is tough and athletic. I guarentee not long before 4 frosh are starting,

He named named his top 9 in order and then said "and Maurice White is a little behind them."

White got a late start Audu and Oliver are 2nd yr players who got the entire preseason but White will catch them once he gets in the flow and starts logging minutes.

It could be March 1st and Hymes will be scoring 17 ppg and people will be like, "you just wait, White will take over sooner rather than later."

I'm sure he is - he hasn't practiced since last week-- even if he practices tomorrow he will be limited for Friday- make no mistake about it-- this really weakens us. Hopefully Oliver/Audu have a good game Friday

You could be right-- or you might be guy that hasn't seen the team play or practice. Yet knows it all .. As for Hymes-- he will probably be our leading scorer Friday-- and will probably also make the most mistakes Hopefully Evan has a good shooting day, because he gives up a lot on defensive side of ball, although it might not matter- I have no idea if UA has a two that can shoot

Hopefully Oliver/Audu have a good game Friday White played in the Army scrimmage. Hymes did not. It went, um, well. Let's not put all this "savior" pressure on a SG who played mostly SF and PF in HS. Hymes is small but will put up points. Let's just see if the better system, gets him over the hump. In 3 preseason exhibitions, he's shooting over 46% with 4 steals and a positive assist ratio despite shooting just under 29% from three. That means he's making 2 pters at his highest clip yet. Let's see if he can make that jump we thought he should have last year.

I was not for the small lineup initially. ..but they earn their time in practice. ..I have seen a couple and Hymes is a Warrior. .Patsos said he is not pg .Wright is the only scholarship pg we have...so Hymes out worked everyone at his position and earned that spot after losing the pg spot to Wright... You have to respect that and give the guy a chance.... our versatility at other position allow it... that starting 5 was up 16-3 the other night before a substitution

Unfortunately, based on what I saw last year at games and practices and the fact that Audu and Oliver can't surpass a still healing Hymes, it may be they may also be in that category. Hopefully this year with a real coach will prove that wrong.
