I really can't blame any students for not going..in all honesty when I was at Siena my top interests were 1. Getting to class 2. Passing grades 3. Hanging at the Lamp Post, Paulies, Dapps, and Miracles to get..lol 4. Not getting kicked out of townhouses again!

When I was in college a few years ago if Halloween was on a Thursday I'd be partying thurs thru Sunday morning. You'd be doing the same seeing how these coeds dress for Halloween parties these days. Hell, if Siena had co-eds on campus when I enrolled I'd still be a student! How long ago was Siena all men?

I'm beginning to think the only students at Siena are the student athletes. Do they advertise the games across campus? I thought most students don't go out until very late, a 7PM game across the quad should be the meeting point/starting point for the night, IMO. I would hope they could have attended the game for $0.00! Sad. Maybe the lure of the UA game in the "finest sporting arena in the northeast" (their words not mine) and the nearby bars will bring them - the bus ride is free!!!!! I just assumed that since this was more of a fund raiser for the athletic dept, that maybe they were charging the students. Hope that's the reason, because I'm with you guys on this, if it was free for them they should have been there (at least the Dog Pound members). Hope they show up for the UA game. It'd be nice to get 12,000 there Friday night.

IMHO - there was NO excuse for the lack of attendance last night. In fact, MP is correct, most of the 'students' who showed up were from other Siena teams. Very, very sad. One can only hope that the staff and current team can draw them in my February. I agree. I just hope there's a good explanation (like maybe it wasn't free to them) otherwise it's embarrassing. Jimmy will need to work his magic like he did at Loyola (to get the students to the games downtown).

Siena has a great "non-student" fan base but need more students to attend games more regularly. The big ones like UAlbany/MAAC tournament have always drawn good student turnout but even the most successful seasons over the years didn't bring them out to weekday games mid-season at the TUC. I hope Patsos can help with that like he did at Loyola and not be satisfied with just the 30-70yr old's support as great as it is. I don't know about you but my 40yr old a** is getting to old to be doing the cheering load of an 18-22yr old at the games I can attend.I know my 40yr old a** can't take sitting on wooden bleachers any more. The cushion chairs of the TUC have spoiled my butt. With the makeover of the ARC they're adding the chair back seats. Got me thinking, almost all the other MAAC schools already have some chair backs sections except for St Peter's & Iona I think). Don't know about the two new members gyms, but will find out this year.

I was also thinking they were charging the students. The week before they passed out free pizza for them for the practice.

Siena is now only about 44% male . . . during my first three years @siena it was all male and we played on campus or at the downtown Armory . . . games were well attended and no buses were getting us there . . . but drinking age was 18 and you needed to get off campus to meet women . . . so it was more than seeing a ball game . . . different times . . . now you don't have to leave your on campus housing to have a social scene
