I'm beginning to think the only students at Siena are the student athletes. Do they advertise the games across campus? I thought most students don't go out until very late, a 7PM game across the quad should be the meeting point/starting point for the night, IMO. I would hope they could have attended the game for $0.00! Sad. Maybe the lure of the UA game in the "finest sporting arena in the northeast" (their words not mine) and the nearby bars will bring them - the bus ride is free!!!!!

There should be a good student crowd for the Siena/UA game. Should be, and hopefully a decent turnout for Saint Bona since it is a rivalry- but that game is on a Tuesday.
After that, Student support will be dependent how the team does in the regular season.
Don't forget there are 5 home games during winter break!
After winter break, home schedule...
2 games on Thursday 1 game on Saturday 1 game on Monday 2 games on Sunday 1 game on Friday
Not exactly the friendliest home schedule for the students. But that should NOT be an excuse for coming to the TUC.

IMHO - there was NO excuse for the lack of attendance last night. In fact, MP is correct, most of the 'students' who showed up were from other Siena teams. Very, very sad. One can only hope that the staff and current team can draw them in my February.

Siena should have e-mail sent to students: If you want a curve on your next test- you better go to the games!

I passed this idea around last year for incentive. Contact the Lia family about putting a new car up for the year. At halftime of every home game, a Siena student (with a school I.D.), is chosen to attempt a halfcourt shot to win the car. Think any students would show up for a chance to win a new car? The Lias insure the extreme longshot chance that a kid hits the shot (probably cost them 10K), and they get season long halftime exposure, fullpage ad in every game program and (6) free sideline seats.
Can't see how anyone loses in this cros-promotion!?

Siena has a great "non-student" fan base but need more students to attend games more regularly. The big ones like UAlbany/MAAC tournament have always drawn good student turnout but even the most successful seasons over the years didn't bring them out to weekday games mid-season at the TUC. I hope Patsos can help with that like he did at Loyola and not be satisfied with just the 30-70yr old's support as great as it is. I don't know about you but my 40yr old a** is getting to old to be doing the cheering load of an 18-22yr old at the games I can attend.

Its a scrimmage, its halloween weekend and they are college students. Calm down. If they dont show up for UAlb game then there should be concern.

You'd be doing the same seeing how these coeds dress for Halloween parties these days.
