I made my official prediction on the MAAC board. It's a bit unconventional but I'd never win the contest again if I didn't keep straying from the popular opinion. 1. Iona (16-4) 2. Manhattan (16-4) 3. Marist (13-7) 4. Rider (13-7) 5. Siena(12-8) 6. Canisius(12-8) 7. Quinnipiac (10-10) 8. Fairfield (7-13) 9. St. Peter's (6-14) 10. Niagara (4-16) 11. Monmouth (1-19) What are you seeing in Canisius' statistics that cause you to say that Marist and Rider will outperform them?

Monmouth (1-19) What are you seeing in Canisius' statistics that cause you to say that Marist and Rider will outperform them? -Canisius potential 3 pt shooting woes and turnover woes of the guards besides Billy combined with big Baron's history of poor FG% defense. They lost 7 MAAC games last year and their offense only got worse. -Marist has a lot of scorers, ballhandling, and experience. Good shooting team, 3 guys who can play PG, a solid post presence, and it sounds like Khalid Hart (who could be a solid all-around guard) has worked his way into the starting lineup. Bowie could have a break out year and is already a 40% career 3pt shooter. If new coach is decent, they have good shot at this spot. -Rider is turnover prone but has a lot of long athletes who will block shots and put up points and just wreak havoc. If they can get some decent perimeter D, they can be good. Taylor and Thomas look good so far. Losing Lindsay also means losing over 100 turnovers.

I dont disagree with those picks other than I would place Griffs 3rd..BB is a great player..I like Rider-- not sold on Marist that high( although I agree potential is there) pretty much agree on your bottom 5

My only disagreement is with Marist. They will be much lower, but really, 3-6 are separated by one game so even that is reasonable.
