this is getting a little Rider-esque. It is yet to be approved of by the Board of Trustees. They also specified that it is to remain one of the better MAAC programs and nothing to do with moving up in conference.

It will almost certainly get approved. You don't present it unless it is a slam-dunk. As for the A10 stuff, I'm not a lawyer but I'm pretty sure Siena has to be careful what they say. Of course D'Arg has to pledge allegiance to the MAAC. When and if Siena gets the invite they are gone.

There's an important way that this doesn't have anything to do with conference realignment: if the A-10 doesn't invite Siena, this is still worth building and would still make the basketball program more attractive, which in turn would better market the college.

Maybe Siena's honorary alumni Derek Jeter can donate some money. The " Derek Jeter Arena " has a nice ring to it!

SieNA announced SatUrday the public phase of it's $50 million capital campaign. Athletics is one of four target areas. The announcement included a statement that during the "silent" phase of the campaign, more than $34 million is pledges has been secured. I think It is pretty clear that the renovations to the ARC will proceed.
