Kid has gone through a lot in the last few months. I hope he has a great year, not just as a fan, but because it would be a great, great story and this kid needs something to go well for him.
I know I've been hard his game from a toughness and effort standpoint but I would absolutely love for him to prove me wrong. The stuff he said about taking plays off is what I saw from him. It sounds like he's upping the ante earlier than I expected.

Sounds like his game is coming along (Jimmy - not surprised if JO starts by beginning of year).

Such awareness is the first step to fixing that particular weakness in his game. It's a pretty mature admission coming from a freshman. I think he got into that habit because he was basically unguarrdable in H.S. But it appears he has quickly realized he isn't always gonna be the biggest and strongest player on the floor anymore. I wouldn't be surpirsed if he ends up starting over Silas at the 5. Looks like this team could be headed for starting 3 freshmen. Yikes.

I wouldn't be surprised to see 4 frosh getting major minutes on the floor at the same time. The talent level left by Buonaguro is deplorable. No wonder some here refer to him as "the program wrecker"

The top 7 are all starters.. those 7 will be known before the first game and will be consistent by the time MAAC play starts..won't matter who starts its more about being in the playing group. ..I think we all agree 4 freshman will be in the playing group of 8 or 9

I've said it before- he will be good this year, and he has the potential to be an all MAAC player every year in the conference.
Yes, the last one put us into a position we don't like as fans, but this kid is extremely talented. A mild thanks to the last one for getting Javion.
Let's see if the last one did one thing right before the end of his tenure at Siena- recruit a excellent player. Time will tell, folks.

The previous staff had little to do with it. As I said before on this board, his mother wanted him nowhere else but here.

Talent is talent...yes you'd like to have experience but talent wins games. We'll be up and down but will be competitive. Not to compare it to the Big 3 era but in 2006-07 Siena started two freshmen (Ubiles and Moore) by Jan. 1st another playing major minutes off the bench (Franklin) and another one (Magee) averaging 11 MPG. Also a sophomore (Hasbrouck) was the second leading scorer. Now it helped to have two solid seniors in Michael Haddix and David Ryan but that team very young and won 20 and were seconds away from winning the MAAC championship. I'm not worried if we start a couple of frosh and a couple more play big minutes. It will pay off down the road... not only in 2014-2015 but this January/Feb/March.
