That ship may have sailed--the arena's just a bit too small compared to a lot of the ones chosen these days--but it certainly helps with things like conference tourneys, the high school Federation championships, women's tourneys, etc.

The University of Dayton was a second and third round site last year. Capacity: 13,409.
In 2014, the tournament will have a second and third round site at Viejas Arena in San Diego, CA. Capacity: 12,414.
In 2015, the tournament will have a second and third round site at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, FL. Capacity: 14,091.
Times Union Center: 15,229.
I will note in each tournament all other sites were bigger- 18,000 to 20,000 in capacity, but it seems the committee does pick a smaller spot with the larger venues.
There's still a shot.

Siena wouldn't be able to play there if they make the tourney because it's there home court.
