I was hoping/expecting that type of production out of Audu his Freshman season. I hope that the regime change allows him to make a Sophomore jump - an improved handle and a green light to attack the hoop would certainly up his stock.
With that said, yes Lo would have been a welcome contributor to the team. Had Siena landed him and Jordan Reed, the Class of '16 would certainly seem stronger. The Freshman output on last year's team was abhorrent. I hope they all have an opportunity to prove themselves as capable players going forward.

I don't care how much defensive attention he drew...his shooting and turnover stats are horrible.

I’m hoping they improve. But keep something in mind, in addition to playing a boring style straight out of the early 1980’s Mitch was equally inept on the recruiting trail – he seldom got a decent kid unless there was an “asterisk” no better example was Jiggets- nothing against the kid, but Mitch was hyping him, at a time when teams are scrambling for players after de committing from Siena his best offers were from the AE and the Big South- that’s basically the level Mitch was recruiting at not only at Siena but his time at FF. Having said that doesn’t mean Audu can’t improve, but there is a reason why he signed with the PW. Mitch’s time at Siena was marked with kids he signed in May or June with no other D1 offers- he got lucky with Hymes- but it’s not like Mitch recruited him and saw something in him, Mitch never even saw him live till he arrived at Siena. Hopper- the list goes on and on. I said it when the PW was fired, the stink from his time at Siena will take some time to erase

I was commenting on Siena Class of '16 in general, not just the guard pool. Tony - Agreed, I truly hope last year's Freshman class shakes off its severe production dearth, but I fear that their low stat output may be more of a lack of talent than a poor system. Time will tell, and I hope its the latter.

"don't know why Mitch didn't get this kid" Maybe he didn't like Siena as much as Columbia? Do you just assume Siena can sign any player they want? There are about 4,000 D1 players Mitch "didn't get".

Ask Knicksaint or someone closer to the situation but I'm pretty sure we just backed off. Also, I know Columbia is a great school but you have to pay to go there. I know I for one would give a hell of lot of consideration to going to college for free unless I was frickin' loaded.

I saw Jordan Reed play and he is more of a 3 and definitely not a power forward for Binghamton, a real good athlete though.

Reed LED the AE in scoring (16.6) and rebounding (9.5) his freshman year!! Was the freshman of the year in the conference!! You're right KK, he wouldn't have helped us as much as Lo!!

It was a condemning statement on him shooting just 7-51 from three and turning it over like 100 times last year. If you can't shoot or play PG, you're a PF in my mind. You could be 5-2, and I'd say the same thing. He's shooting a little better this year. Small sample though. Still, I can appreciate your cheap shot at me even if it was based on the fact that you didn't understand the purpose of my post.

"cheap shot?" You called Reed a PF? You basically said Lo was better than him? You made the comments in Aug AFTER Reeds first season was over? So all of your comments pertaining to Reed were wrong, and yeah I corrected you. Maybe because I was the one that wanted Reed so bad in the first place and he turned out to be AE ROY, and a All-Conference player in his freshman year. SMH
