interesting. I think Wright is going to eventually (this year) be too strong of a player not to be on the floor at least 25-28 minutes. Lavon's stats are going to be better. thanks.

Not sure how the scoring will go—but I do know this, if Buie is eligible, Siena will have 3 proven double figure scorers ( Poole, Hymes and Buie) a solid big man in Silas, and some promising freshmen- and that’s a recipe for success. If Buie does not play- we have a huge hole at the 2G and my expectations will be tempered accordingly

I would expect more minutes from Wright, Ogunyemi, Bisping, Audu, and Wolfe. Probably less from Hymes and Silas, possibly a couple less from Poole to keep him fresh. If Hymes plays 27mpg, Siena is in trouble.

Take Jimmy at his word. He has Poole for 2 more years and wants him to develop at defending 2 guards. He has Long and Javion for the whole 4 years and wants them to develop in the positions that he recruited them for. Buie would provide depth and experience, but I don't think a waiver for him fundamentally changes what we know about the coach's plans for the program.

you are on to something here ...that is exactly my understanding here...Patsos is sincere Take Jimmy at his word. He has Poole for 2 more years and wants him to develop at defending 2 guards. Long may or may not get to the double digit pts average. He's not a three point shooter, persay, so it's gonna be tough for him to really rack up big points. 8 or 9 pts a game may be about right at this point. Still pretty good for a frosh.
I want 40 blks and 40 steals from Lavon. That's 1.3 per game over 31 games.
Also, I wouldn't assume Buie gets all that time. There will be nights when he's just not effective and he's not really a shooter. Jimmy could just go small or Oliver could be shooting lights out.
Also, if the team averages 16 assists per game we'd be like wicked good and stuff. I think 13 or 14 is more realistic with probably the same amount of turnovers per game.
Lastly, siena12077, why are you still undercover. You're a peacock, you gotta fly.

If we have Buie, Poole and Long, those 3 should certainly be on the court together logging major minutes. Split hymes and wright and have a couple bigs you bring i for silas. Long can be used as he was recruited. Just because he is a 4 and its a label does not mean he has to play like your historical back to the basket perception. This line-up could do a lot of things on offense to score. 1-4 high, enter it to a wing and have Hymes cut through of screens, upscreens for Silas, Long pop out up top and become a distributor. Buie is there to create if a play breaks down. Kick outs to Poole and Hymes. High lows with Long and Silas. Pick and roll with Buie OR Hymes. Lots of possibilities with that line up. Sorry KK im on a 4 day bender now is not the time

I think you're underestimating Coach's interest in Ogunyemi and probably putting one more shooting guard into the regular rotation than could be expected.

I think you're underestimating Coach's interest in Ogunyemi and probably putting one more shooting guard into the regular rotation than could be expected. I was just putting it out there based off of Patsos' typical pattern of substitution over the years and with younger teams. He usually goes with a 9 man rotation...good years his starters log a lot of minutes, has first 2 subs see a fair amount of time, then last 2 subs get a few minutes each half. I do not know if that will change but that plus the personnel is what i based the predictions off of

For people who have seen Javion play...do you see him as a strong post player his freshman year? I have and dont see the physicality or motor for him to play more than 20 min a game as a frosh. Needs to get stronger and develop his footwork. Plus I think Silas is bound to have a break out year if he stays on the floor. Game changing devensive anchor at the rim and can control the glass in the maac. Offensive garbage point and some buckets here and there. If he gets more than 25 min a game he will be a 3rd team all maac big man

I mean it is almost like he would have to have inherited skills through osmosis.......... I just don't see it. I hope your right and I'm wrong, I just don't see it.

There's a lot of talk about Buie, but that is still a big question mark, right?
I think the perceived hole at the 2 is not as great as some of us are fearing. Poole will see plenty of time there, of course. Oliver is a question mark with his troublesome knee. I do think that we may have a pleasant surprise coming with Audu, however. He has some limitations, as we all know, but I believe he will have the chance to shine in a more uptempo offense and in the transition game. He can finish big on the break, and he's got the quickness to be disruptive on defense. Let's not sleep on Rich. All we've seen him try to play so far is Mitch ball, and nobody looks good doing that!
