4guysinblazers.com/saints-women-strong-in-exhibition/5378Wow!!! The Siena women didn't seem to take their scrimmage as a practice. Sounds like they came to play a game. Spoke to someone about the game and they said the women were diving on loose balls and playing hard. Sounds like Kings College was actually good. "King’s College is a D-3 team which finished last season with a league record of 14-1 and 24-6 overall. Many key players return from that team which advanced to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA D-3 tournament. As promised, the Saints are a high-energy scrappy team who utilize man-to-man as well as zone and pressure defenses. They forced the Monarchs into many rushed and off balanced shots and continued their dominance in the second half eventually cruising to an 81-27 win. The Saints finished the game with an astounding 74-28 rebounding edge over King’s College."

You're probably not going to get much reaction on this because most men don't like women's hoops. But watching the elections last night a female reporter did a piece about women having more effect than men on the outcome. I would think part reason for that is the loss of male population due to all these wars American troops fight as Police Watchdog of the World. I'm one of the few that is anxious to see the Siena women play under their new coach. Gina had her joy ride under the play of the Latvian connection. I had urged her not to let Matt Luneau get away as he and his wife(St. Rose star player from Latvia) were instrumental in harboring that recruiting goldmine.

As a reminder the women play right before the men on Friday, so come out early! I'm looking forward to seeing higher scores on our side of the ledger this year. The new coaches have appeared to bring renewed energy into the program.

I strongly suggest everyone attend the Siena women's end of the year banquet. I mean WOW they're dressed to kill. I didn't even recognize them "out of uniform".

The new coaches have appeared to bring renewed energy into the program. I'll be there. Work downtown & plan on showing up for women's tip off. I'm hoping to make a few games @ the ARC. I think they're going to be good this yr.
