Skidmore is small and inexperienced so only so much you will be able to see
almost all running teams when an opponent makes a basket the ball almost never touches the floor. In Fran and Hewitts teams a player would rip ball out of the net.. just a small tell tale sign that Siena intends to run if we see this. If on the other hand ball hits floor and a Siena player takes his time inbounding... a sure sign we are not running
Ball movement - I expect Skidmore to play a collapsed zone, they cant guard our big men man to man... does Mitch force the ball inside ( and against a d3 team you might be able to do) or does team go to a open man. Do we try to work the ball inside for 30 seconds..again might work against a d3 team- wont work against D1 teams
What kind of full or 3/4 court pressure we put on? - are we straight zone or do we play some man to man?
Just a few small things to see if Mitch means it when he says he intends to run

I'm not caught up on the whole running thing today especially with Hymes sitting. I'm looking for shotblocking and 3pt% mostly. Also, avoid turnovers.
Game isn't online and I don't feel like traveling for an exhibition so I just hope you peeps say they look good.

I'm also looking for a faster, more uptempo offense. We've heard the company line about how Mitch wants to run a faster, up and down the court offense this season. What to look for here is how ALL THE PLAYERS are handling this style of offense. Which players will look more comfortable out there? Will they be able to run an uptempo offense at the beginning of this season, or is it still a work in progress?
Leadership. Other than OD... who will be the vocal leaders of this team ? Hopefully we see them take control today !!

Not there but judging by the gametracker the 3 frosh are moving up the depth chart by the minute. Poole with typical stats 0-3 from three but 4 assists.
Bisping was noticeably playing a long time and made his only shot.
Burdine and Gomis already playing themselves to the bottom of the heap. Silas quick foul trouble.
OD 4 of 5 from the line.

I only stayed for the first half. Rahk looked good as did OD but they forced the ball into him too much. Frosh are nice. Great drive by Adu who made me think of CJ on the play. But disapointed in offensive rebounding. Silas and Gomis are very athletic but very raw.

www.sienasaints.com/gametracker/launch/gt_mbaskbl.html?event=1199822&school=sien&sport=mbaskbl&camefrom=&startschool=&76-55 Not great but it's the first game. Remember, Brookins shot 1-10 in Adelphi exhibition with 0 assists and 3 Tos. He ended up great. Good day today. Poole did shoot better at the end but tough performance. The 3 frosh contributed. Silas and Gomis need to work on not fouling. A lot of the reason for the exhibition is getting the 1st game nerves out of the way for these new guys. I know it's just a D3 team but Anosike is WAAYY ahead of where he was this time last year. He always started out slow. He's gonna be a monster if he's making jumpers and FTs. Anything from people who were actually there...?

OD was 7-10 from the line. That's a good sign. But Imoh fouled out in just 8 mins! Hopefully, that's just first game jitters...

From where I was sitting. Skidmore did out hustle the Saints. I like Chris L.'s game. Silas and Gomis, I hope they improve, I was expecting a bit more due to the hype, I did see Silas swat a couple after the fact. Bisping looked tenative, Oliver and Audu played well. Poole, Burdine and Martens played as expected. I only wish we had seen Hymes and Brookins together but Friday isn't that far away.
