This a good thing, but it shouldn't keep the rest of us from participating in the collective if we are so inclined. No matter what Weitsman contributes there will always be more that is needed to keep the fund growing and moving forward. While there is no method to target a donation, I would guess that the collective admins understand that Men's basketball, as Siena's "flagship" athletic program, should be the primary recipient of collective's efforts.

Right, Bill. We all need to kick in. I hope / have a feeling Gerry will be successful. Assuming that's true, he'll move on...as will Weitsman. We need to not be complacent. Siena fans will be here regardless of where Gerry and his entourage land eventually. We know this isn't his last stop.

I'm sure McNamara will reach out to the alums with deep pockets, but the rest of us can help as well. As is the case in every situation, nothing good will happen if we sit on the sidelines and expect others to carry the load.

Deep pockets is what's needed to make a difference.$500-$1000 is what's needed from the fan base to keep things going.

Thanks for this post! We are excited to have Adam engaged, but we still need to keep building out the collective and extend it to other sports. Gerry has been great in our discussions and it 1000% behind us. We are hoping to get him engaged with the fanbase soon for some meet and greet events. Gerry was also happy that we had the collective up and running and all the infrastructure in place and now we are allowed to engage players during the recruiting process.

The more I think on it, the more I believe that a subscription model is what the collective really needs to bring in more casual fans. Raise your hand, if like me, you think $100 is a lot of money to justify spending but you can easily justify $10 a month. I also think that giveaways at games could draw more people in. Instead of spending the money shipping bobbleheads or autographed team photos out to subscribers, just email vouchers or a QR code on an app that subscribers can bring to specific games to get their giveaway. Have those tables in prominent locations to draw in the non-subscribers to question what they are missing out on. Provide them with pamphlets about the collective and ideally have someone ready to sign them up on the spot. If you could ever get Aramark on board imagine how many extra people you could draw if subscribers got a 10% discount at the concession stands. Especially if they could use that at all MVP Arena events and not just Siena games.

Agreed on the subscription model, and Frank has said they are looking into this. sienahoop.proboards.com/post/228766/thread
