Wyland opened his show saying that he thinks Siena actually has the money to buy Carm out but he does not think they’ll be a change.

From what I’m hearing it sounds like D’Arg will be shown the door but Carm will be back.

Very disappointed if this is true but I’ll now have more time on my hands for the winter. 40 years of pouring my heart and soul and checkbook into this program is now circling the drain. This head coach should be excused for no less than 15 reasons. Time to move on. This will not improve? You expect this hard headed know it all will change anything? Nope, he’s going to prove his way works, well we are just prolonging the obvious. He will be gone mid year next year or after another losing season. Ah well.

I think my wife’s and I will switch our season tickets to women’s team. More fun to watch, way cheaper, no parking fees etc.

From what I’m hearing it sounds like D’Arg will be shown the door but Carm will be back. I could live with this. D’Arg is the bigger systemic problem, I wouldn’t trust any new coach he was in charge of hiring. I can put up with another year of Carm if I knew we were getting a proper search under new leadership next year. And who knows, maybe if Carm knew he was truly coaching for his job he could surprise us next year.

It would tick me off more if he suddenly puts in the effort and wins. That said, good coaches win. He's not a good coach.

Exactly GG4E. If Siena has the money as Wyland suggests then this is a no-brainer. He's had 5 years. His immaturity in dealing with the portal killed him. That and some crazy idealism about not having too much talent in the locker room. D'Arg should have been coaching him ... especially in how he dealt with fans and the media. He was absolutely horrible in almost every facet of being a head coach.

It doesn't matter what the team does next year, I'm not attending another men's basketball game until Carm is gone. And I suspect that anyone that does is just going to get to see a lot of Mason Courtney and Kyle Winters.

I agree. He’s advocating for himself by saying 20-21, 21-22 and 22-23 were good seasons. When you can’t even win a game in your conference tournament, I wouldn’t categorize that as a good season at all. The sad part is I think he could have been a decent coach but it seems his ego and stubbornness have been his undoing. For some reason he rested on his underwhelming laurels of finishing in the top half of the MAAC every year before this year.
