In everything that's ridiculous with the maac, how insane is it that an east coast game is starting after all the west coast games have started today.

Siena vs Niagara, a game in Atlantic City, was the last game in D-I to finish last night. Not a game from the WCC or Big Sky. New Jersey. Our program is in shambles, but the MAAC also has an ever-growing list of bad decisions. Moving the Tournament a week later eliminates a national-exposure title game, has not elevated us to higher profile like power conferences that finish this weekend, the format and schedules with men and women are a joke, and holding it in Springfield and Atlantic City have led to embarrassing attendance. I'm not saying it should always be in Albany, but the MAAC should make more logical decisions to best serve itself, member schools, and all fanbases.

Not to even mention the added travel burden on Canisius and Niagara compared to when it is Albany. Ultimately, it is going to get stale anywhere, even Albany. Stop with these multi year deals at one site and settle on a 3 location rotation of Albany, AC, and either Hartford or Springfield (or give them 1 in every 6). As bad as Siena is, I would go watch the MAAC Tournament if it was only here 1 of every 3 years. If it is here 3 years in a row I am a lot more likely to only go if Siena is good.

That why they like the guarantee these places provide. Depending how they structure the ticket sales too. I’m sure no school loses money going to the tournament no matter where it’s held.

When the bridges are all gone they’ll talk about campus games.

The lack of exposure of the league because of the switch of the tournament week costs more than the guarantee is worth Went from being on ESPN2 on a Monday night with the Top ESPN crew to being relegated to ESPNU on a Saturday night as an afterthought.

And they screw over the fans by making them pay for two sessions which causes an hour of unnecessary delay and extra burden on the teams, refs and fans. Completely insane.

I actually enjoyed that awkward segment with the coaches and player interacting over terms from the younger era. Is nice in the NIL era to see there are still positive coach-player relationships. Notable that there was no interaction between Carm and a player (shocking I know) but also he delivered the laziest, always making excuses answer for toughest away game. Notable as well that absolutely no one mentioned Siena.

the league is a joke and it stemmed from the Ensor years.............NO WAY should the women and men be playing on the same day, in fact they shouldn't even be playing at the same Arena, imho..............no other conference in the country does this.........and next year we are 13 teams, egads............

Take a page from the CAA and play in a g league arena. If you play in White Plains you have a decent chance of having some type of atmosphere at the games- it’s also centrally located.

I’ve seen a ton of comments about the Westchester County Center. The floor level seats are a terrible place to watch a game, the concessions are not up to standard, and the bathrooms are inconvenient at best. I understand the desire for a better location, but I don’t think the County Center is that place

I understand the desire for a better location, but I don’t think the County Center is that place I saw somebody say they had a somewhat recent update to the WCC. Not sure if that’s true or not though. The trouble is there’s not really any other medium sized arenas in the area. Even Bridgeport wis too big. The IVY league is playing at Columbia this year so I think it’s time for the MAAC to swallow their pride and play in a smaller arena.
