I attended the Penn game and last night's game and saw the same type of game and the same results. Saints have a team of skilled players and only 12 players. The Saints are certainly a finesse team. Two physical players a guard and a forward from last year's team transferred out. Penn and Merrimack were both more energetic and physical than the Saints. Both teams also gave ten or more players substantial minutes which helped to wear down the Saints. I don't know the current scholarship number for Women's basketball. It was in the past more than that for Men's teams. It must be more than 12.Right now the Saints' success depends on all used players hitting on all cylinders which isn't going to happen every night. Team could have won the game on the free throw line. They most likely practice in the practice gym but should practice free throws on the game court.

I went to Penn and watch last night on tv. They need Emina back as she battled hard. Also poor shot selection. They drive too far in with bad shots when they could pull up form 10-12. Brian Rubino does a great job on the play by play

The team has underperformed so far (IMO) based on last year and high expectations with starters all back. After first half of Binghamton they haven't looked the same. I thought last night everything was off, very hesitant, no energy, didn't shoot well from field or foul line, multiple missed layups, etc. Got dominated inside and really need to improve rebounding. End of regulation on the missed Merrimack free throw the one Merrimack player lined up in the lane out rebounded the 4 Siena players and near end of OT Merrimack got 3 straight offensive rebounds to keep running more clock. Gotta fix that. Surprised at lack of depth so far - the new players haven't gotten off the bench in 4 games - hoping that's just giving them more time to adapt as I thought it was a pretty highly thought of recruiting class. Still think they will sort things out and get on a roll. The Albany game would be a good place to start.

She comes off the bench. Lady Saints really miss her and the physical guard whose name escapes me. I had to go out and only heard the last play on the radio and was unable to hear any commentary about it. I only saw Singelais' game story. Was it an example of refs refusing to respect the home team and not want to work overtime? If it was a failure to call a real foul I think Coach Jabir should do a "full McCaffrey". If the refs in the MAAC "do it to you" at Home they'll do much worse to you on the road.

Angel Jones is the guard that transferred back to Virginia

I’m more concerned about our defense …. Not much in evidence last night but uncontested 3s in the corner have hurt us … defense can be taught so I’m expecting it to ge better as season progresses
