Then why is Iona so high? Who are their proven players? Idan Tretout, Joel Brown, Terrell Williams, Osborn Shema, and Wheza Panzo have all played multiple years of D1 basketball and been starters. Plus, Iona starts from a higher point because their “program rank” is higher from recent success. Damn, they're gonna walk to the title. Great job by Tobin getting all that experience. STARTS: Iona-264 games......Siena-7 Thats quite a difference.

They’ll be solid … but it’s just two different team building strategies. We’re clearly betting that multiple years of Emejuru, Gribben, Smith, Evbagharu, Ojo, Frazier can lead us somewhere pretty dang good long term and compete short term. Reasonable to say it leans Iona in Year 1… but long term we’ll see.

Reasonable to say it leans Iona in Year 1… but long term we’ll see. We'll see who strategy works out the best. Older guys have worked for Iona but they Grasso and then Pitino supplying them. They earned being picked ahead of us and Rider does too because of the established guys the return. The preseason predictions are fun to talk about but they don’t mean much. Putting Canisius at third just because they return more guys is funny. Same with a MSM who actually lost their best player. Fairfield’s coach just left. And Quinnipiac also had a coaching change. Niagara is scrappy but don’t overwhelm anybody. I have Siena #3 but I would much better about that prediction if Sean Durugoron is eligible and the NCAA does the right thing! A few guys have us 7th and I’m sure Carm likes that he’ll keep the receipts for motivation. Carm has to finish stronger and win in March but he always finishes in the top 4. So I’ll go… with acknowledging its very hard in this crazy roster movement era to predict… 1. Rider 14-6 2. Iona 14-6 3. Siena 13-7 4. Niagara 12-8 5. Quinnipiac 11-9 6. Canisius 10-10 7. Mount St. Mary’s 9-11 8. St. Peter’s 8-12 9. Fairfield 8-12 10. Marist 6-14 11. Manhattan 5-15

Well if he is really good and GMac isn't like Carm he could be re-recruited.

Wouldn't you think that Carm's buyout would have a clause prohibiting him from communicating with current players, commits and prospects???

Wouldn't you think that Carm's buyout would have a clause prohibiting him from communicating with current players, commits and prospects??? Carm is a hypocrit.........when a recruit spurns him for another school, Carm wants nothing to do with him, even if the kid decides to transfer he would not entertain the thought of taking the kid, just like a jilted boyfriend dumped by a girl.......but now, he just wants to sabotage any good will he might have built up at Loudonville as HC, just being vindictive and petty..........kind of sad unfortunately........I just hope that the next time Siena punches their dance ticket to the NCAA tourney (which will be sooner rather than later), that Carm has enough cahones to be all over the Saints twitter page giving them props & wishing them success, probably gonna take him some time though to get over the reality check.........

We'll be saying "JoJo who" in a few weeks. GMac will bring in better talent.

JoJO and Jakai do not know how lucky they were when Carm was given his walking papers. I wonder what BS he told those two, also how unfortunate they were to decommit with a new HC coming which would be helpful for them. Maybe they'll reconsider if new Coach contacts them! GO SAINTS!!

I agree GMac would be much better for their development. I would think hitting the portal would be the first priority before HS kids, but if they are really good he can contact them. But as HJ has said, he probably has a list of more highly rated players with better potential. That said, I don't wish those two ill. I hope they have successful careers.
