One last recruit. Carm and Bobby have a target. Be patient. Great pictures at BU quite honestly, the recruiting must always continue, so no matter how many slots we currently have open for next year that can change in a heart beat........with the new transfer rules plus enticing NIL, our roster is never set, ever.............

Sad reality in today's "amateur athletics."

We need an Edwin Ubiles type. Skilled, long 3-man. Let's just get a Lebron and a Tim Duncan and we will be set. Open up that checkbook! If we want to win the MAAC again, we better sign one. Need a difference making forward.

Just remember, there's always someone with a bigger checkbook Did I read somewhere that our NIL got a big new sponsor? And I'm seeing a lot of commercials from the big 'junk metal' guy who bailed from Syracuse for some reason. Maybe he's looking to make a splash here. Pretty sure he ended up at Binghamton, and took that Syracuse guard with him.

No news yet… just saying we’ve got him for next year no matter what (within a reasonable hope at least lol) and he fits that big wing/undersized forward mold that HJ is saying we need

Here we are 3 weeks away from the first game and we still don’t know if we are going to have one of our best players available. The continued mismanagement of this program is mind blowing. Scholarships left unfilled, scholarships wasted on people who cannot or don’t want to play, waiting too long to apply for waivers, etc.

I saw a tweet from a reporter who covers another league this morning about a player whose school filed his waiver last week.

I can think of one… He would, but I dont think even with him, we could win the MAAC this year. Im talking about the '24-'25 season. IF we could get Eley to stay as a junior, Sean is eligible, and our freshman turn into battle tested sophomores, we'd be the MAAC favorites next year.

Pretty decent chance we’ll be MAAC favorites even without Eley next year if guys like Emejuru look the part this year.

Adding Sean and JoJo will certainly help in '24-'25, but if we lose Eley.....how much better can we be? 8th to 1st is a pretty big jump. Rider loses a lot, and Iona will always be strong being in good hands with Tobin.

If those guys are clearly building blocks (and come back), then we will probably be close if not clear MAAC favorites next year with our without Eley, once you add Durugordon, Moore and 1-2 pieces in the spring. If this team sucks this year and we have to turn over the roster, then obviously that will change things and that’s at least a possibility. 244 is 3rd in KenPom’s preseason and 290 is 10th. There’s no separation. If our young kids are good, we’re gonna be competitive this year and very good next.

Then why is Iona so high? Who are their proven players? Idan Tretout, Joel Brown, Terrell Williams, Osborn Shema, and Wheza Panzo have all played multiple years of D1 basketball and been starters. Plus, Iona starts from a higher point because their “program rank” is higher from recent success.
