Temple, George Mason, and George Washington were heating up in their interest in Billups before he committed according to a Temple recruiting board on 247sports. The lack of AAU season helped us here - I think we got him before the competition started getting much tougher. Comes from the same school as Evan Fisher.

He's listed at 6'5 in some places. Times Union article calls him 6'6" for whatever that is worth.

Great stuff! Carm and Co. march on!! Young man looks like a stud. Thank you for the highlights! Carm continues to kill it on the recruiting trail. This is how you win MAAC championships and compete to win games in the NCAA tournament. The key is getting those 6’4/6’5/6’6 long athletic guys. Love the signing!

I like this signing. 6’6” / 210 ish going into senior year, so nice size. He’s athletic and extremely versatile with a decent handle, gets to the rim, shot mechanics look pretty solid. Expect this is a kid that just gets better. This appears to be a Carm kind of kid.
Fun facts - same HS as Evan F and is Chauncey Billups’ cousin.
I wonder if this now means Jamiya Neal is off the table?

That Evan was that positive about Siena after playing for Jimmy for three years says a lot about the young man.

And how great Siena itself is that the taint of JP didn’t stick His "kids" all saw through him as the phony a-hole he was...Evan impressed me the first day I met him on his recruiting visit and he kept my respect through all of his 4 years at Siena - a class kid and a great alum...

Evan even offered to help me make the popcorn during that practice...(that was for HJ - give him a little chuckle, LOL)

That Evan was that positive about Siena after playing for Jimmy for three years says a lot about the young man. You could replace “playing for Jimmy” with “reading what was written about him on this board”
