Highlight tape a mix of athletic dunks and some threes. On film looks to be a capable ball handler and passer: www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=139&v=3LyV3uJ0INI&feature=emb_titleWould love to see some actual stats. He looks good in the hype reel, but we are his only offer. We offered him at the same time as his more highly recruited teammate Jamiya Neal. Wondering if this could help seal the deal there as well.

Real athletic with a good handle. More slasher then shooter from the limited video. Like kk said, getting his teammate, 6'6" Jamiya Neal, too would be a nice way to basically finish off recruiting for the year.
Good student with a 3.4 GPA
Dont worry about being the only offer, every team in the MAAC, except Iona who only recruits McDonalds AA's, would take this kid in a second.

Congrats to Carm and the entire coaching staff! Man, these guys work hard. Jimbo wouldn't even be thinking about a year or two down the road - too much else to do to worry about the future for him- Carm was one great hire! Go Saints!

Question is can we afford to take another perimeter kid at this point, and not not save one scholly for that athletic, shotblocking 4/5?

Kind of seems like Carm has decided to recruit guards and wings and fill the big slots with transfers. I'm sure he'd take the right freshman big but he doesn't seem too interested in your typical MAAC bigs that are going to take a couple years to develop and maybe pan out.

It's not a bad strategy. MAAC-level bigs often aren't really productive until junior year. Taking a transfer may mean you're only getting 1 year but the likelihood is that it would be a productive year. He can recruit impact guards as frosh and have 3-4 years of productivity.

IF we go guard, he better be a shooter, not a slasher. Both would be a luxury
