If Ogunyemi was playing with Pickett and Camper on this current team, I'd say Siena wins the MAAC this year without as much as a bead of sweat. He'd be great in the Pickett and Roll and he'd defend the rim like we haven't had since he left. Defense would jump 100 spots and you'd only lose some FT shooting. Like the rest of that crew, he was stuck with Patsos half-assed system and paid the price in legacy. Is there really anyone that was picked though that you could add to this years team and they wouldn't win the MAAC without a sweat? That's a fair point...although JO would fill the gap we have on the defensive side more than all the others because he's really one of only a few decent shotblockers in Siena history. I think his particular skillset would really fit it in perfectly and lift up Siena's current weaknesses without sacrificing much anywhere else or taking anyone else at the 1-4 out of their role.

There's an argument to be made that JO could have been picked before 4 or 5 of the guys chosen.
Scoop Jordan, Steve McCoy and Rob Poole are three other names that probably should have made rosters.

Yes but given the circumstances I'd say the choices made were pretty good.

Top 25 in program history? Tay Fisher should not be ahead of Ogunyemi. I know he's loved and all and shot well as a senior but, let's be real here. He was a 5-9 combo guard with a 36% career FG%. I would put a lot of others not on this list ahead of him. www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/tay-fisher-1.htmlOgunyemi was a good inside scorer, great interior defender, and average rebounder. To be honest, I take Ogunyemi on my team before I take OD Anosike any day. OD was a black hole and horrible passer. He didn't block shots or defend that well in spite of his athletic advantages...and his FT shooting and lack of a game outside of 3 ft was a MAJOR liability for his teammates. If I'm building a team to win, I take Ogunyemi over Anosike. People forget the comfort that 2 blocked shots per game from your center provides. If you're building a team to win you would take Rossiter.

I picked team 2. That line up with Fran as coach I think is the strongest.

I think Robinson would have been very good and he would have fit in very well with Carm's philosophy.

A fun idea and I also loved reading the Gazette article. I have to go with the Ubiles group. They are just so deep, and my vote has to go there! Great job by all.

I must say I am surprised at how close the vote appears to be

all are terrific squads, but I am picking the team with the most prolific scorers and elite defenders, that is the team led by Hewitt..................Ubile, Faison & Archbold are unreal athletes which are extremely difficult to stop from scoring, plus they can shut down opponents with length & again athleticism..........Kenny is a true leader, tough as they come, whatever you need he gives it to you plus he could handle the PG spot as needed although those others have great handle..........add in Bisping who is relentless on the glass, and beat you inside and take a bigger player out because he can also knock down the 3..........with Hewitt, this group would be in insane physical condition, allowing them to beat teams down the stretch of every game when it counts the most.....

Thanks for doing this! To make it easier on you and everyone else, we should set a draft time a day in advance so all six posters can make plans to be available. Draft should take 30 min if all 6 are on line.

enjoyed it, but would love to do one that was a bit more organized. (Gorvy, this is not on you at all but Papi joining late, HJ not being able to join and me helping my kids with school work made it disjointed as all get out) i'm in for a second bite at the apple.

Me too. Never checked the board that day until after 8 and I did pick Ronald Moore as my first pick but was overruled. It definitely needs some tweaking. Thanks for the effort gorvy.
