Siena finishes the season on a 10 game winning streak longest since 2009-2010 and third longest in program history (and will begin next year with a chance to add to it).
13-1 in the last 14 games with a point differential of +155 - Siena was clearly the best team in the MAAC.
Played 5 teams in the KenPom top 123 (beat St. Bonaventure)
Beat every MAAC team at least once and beat Monmouth, Iona, Quinnipiac, Marist, Manhattan and Fairfield twice
5 straight wins away from home and 6 out of 7 after starting 0-9 away from the TUC.
14-0 at home (first undefeated season at home since 09-10)
20-10 (.667) best winning percentage since going 27-7 in 2009-10 .... 18-5 finish after 2-5 start.
16th time in the last 23 years Siena made it to at least the MAAC semifinals.
First outright regular season championship since 2009-2010
Most MAAC wins 16 since 2009-10 (20)
KenPom finishes at 145 - best since 15-16 (128)
Final NET 151 (Sagarin 150)
So we were a legit top 150 team by any measure....next stop 75-100 range!
The last two years Siena has gone 37-26 (.587). For comparison Fran's first two years Siena was 35-25...lets hope what followed there comes next.
And the best is yet to come!
Go Saints!!

Just being honest.... and I get it.... I understand the big picture... but the way this season ended- It is like reading a really, really good book and every chapter you read is more exciting and better than the last and then you get to the final chapter and someone has ripped the pages out of the back of your book! This is such an empty feeling - it is almost worst than a loss. Every game the Saints gained momentum and played more and more like champions, but I still wanted to read those last two chapters.... Well, at least I can name the last two chapters, even if I will never read them...
Chapter 21..... Saints Overcome Peacocks Pressure to Win MAAC Championship Title Game Chapter 22..... Siena Wins in Dayton, Now Ready to Give Kansas All They Can Handle

Per Lunardi, there would have been no Chapter 21. He had Siena Kansas in Omaha today without a trip to Dayton along the way.
