Too much time off between games. The team can't maintain cohesion. Nice breakout game by Harris. it is a crazy schedule this season for sure, yet one would think with time off many many things could be worked in practice..........and the alarming thing is our defense tonight was just insanely bad against an atrocious bottom of the rpi type D1 team...........to me, the team didn't play this game like it was a "business trip", instead it seemed more like a "field trip" that we would typically get on the road from that former coach who is to remain nameless................. Honestly, I would feel better if the team had gone on some of JP's cultural excursions and thrown up a stinker, then I could pass it off as at least they learned a nice life experience but no, we have a "business trip" where the team looked nothing like business.

PUHHHHHHHHHHH Leaaaaaaaaaseeeeeeeeeeeee.............stop blaming Ratliffe for this loss, sure he was liability when he was out there, but there were many others accountable including coaches for this disaster............good luck drawing fans to watch us at home......... You have admit, we came out really strong for the 2nd half, but it all went wrong during that 3 minute JR stretch. Carey was the worst player tonight....easily. Not having a zone defense to play after they drove by us 15 times in a row, is on the coaching staff, and something I started a thread on a few days ago.

I miss Jimmy P. Carm in way over his head. LOL, Patsos is perfect for a team that needs a spark, get the fan base going. He is not good to get a good team better. Problem Siena has is last 3 hires have been completely lazy. Assistant coach from Fran who hadn't been head coach in what, 15 years. Then, lets replace him with a head coach from the same conference that was mediocre, but "hey, we know him". Then replace him with the assistant from the guy who did OK as your head coach, but nothing special. Where were the national searches. Siena was still an attractive job. If this Carm thing doesn't work out, and they keep him for years because of the rocks connection, guess what? You are now close to St. Peters, Marist, Niagara in terms of job attractivity.

You realize that our last coach jumped for George Washington? When is the last time a Marist coach did anything but figuratively jump off the George Washington bridge?

I have no defense for how bad Marist has been and is right now. Just observations from a fellow MAAC fan. Yes I have a bias against Siena, but was I really wrong here? I try to respect this board when I post and not get obnoxious. I think this wasn't that out of bounds.

I would like to hear your plan for Marist becoming relevant again and why the F we shouldn't boot you out of the conference if you don't improve?

I thought it would be fun this season to get on here and follow some of my former aau guys. But nothing fun about this website when Siena loses. Always someone's fault. And its always Ratliffs fault or Fridays before. You guys need to stop with that and face reality. Those guys or the bench haven't caused one loss. And some of you get on here and lie about kids for what. Someone said Ratliff got scored on 8 times tonight. You look goofy, like people can't look at stats. Siena had a 10 point lead when Ratliff went in and a 6 point lead when he went out. He played less than 2 minutes. He got scored on once and shot airball. So what, Gary Harris shot an airball. Several of the kids have shot airballs. And Carey got scored on 4 straight times at end of game. The Hein kid gets scored on every week. So what, its basketball. If you don't like Ratliff or Friday or the kids on bench when we lose, who cares. But stop trying to blame them every week. I'm not blaming starters but they are the ones playing most of time and they are the ones that went 1 for 7 and 5 for 13 tonight and gave up 68 points. Ratliff looks like a very nervous and unconfident player. Nothing like summer when I had aau team up there and watched them. That's on Carm to get him back where he was or not. But stop blaming these kids or at least blame kids playing most of game before you get to bench.

Unfortunately they didn’t play good tonight. But you don’t keep blaming players that play 2,3,4 minutes and averaging 1,2,or 3 shots a game.

So just to clarify, you are saying, the loss is because of everyone but Jimmy Ratliff? Maybe I didn’t make myself clear. It’s the entire teams fault. Everyone. Not just one or two players fault. One or two players didn’t shoot 27-65. You blame the team for not playing well and you move on from that. Long season still.
