How does Daily dose have Malik Johnson as "the most impactful guard in the conference" over Jalen?

How does Daily dose have Malik Johnson as "the most impactful guard in the conference" over Jalen? I agree. Malik is a pretty good and underrated PG. It's the reason I bumped CC up in spite of all their rookies. However, in no way, shape, or form is he the most impactful guard in the MAAC. There isn't one statistical category in which he was better than Pickett last year. Perhaps, Jaden just meant to say something like that and misspoke. If not, well then it's just a ridiculous statement.

All speculation until players step on the hardwood ... but different opinions and rationale fills the gap until the first whistle blows ... bragging rights won’t be awarded until March 😉

Don't get the Manhattan love....subpar coach and they have a few decent pieces but just don't see them as a contender.
Also how do you have the 60th best player in college basketball and be rated 232?
American is 134 almost 100 spots higher. I guess we'll find out two weeks from tonight about that!

Don't get the Manhattan love....subpar coach and they have a few decent pieces but just don't see them as a contender. They also commit roughly 4 bazillion fouls per game, they will stink like usual. Masiello ball died with the emphasis on hand checking and mugging players defensively.

Was only 8 points difference between 3 and 6th.. Although it does send a message- with Preseason POY- coaches must think rest of Siena team stink..LOL. No big deal Carm has it right, we do have a lot of question marks and unproven head coach

Siena Envy, pure and simple. I mean, we finished tied for 2nd last season with a Band-Aid team. And our talent level this year just with the transfers is significantly higher.
Ultimately, it does mean nothing other than good locker room motivation.
GO SAINTS!!

In hindsight, not that surprising MAAC picked Siena 6th- we lost 3 starters off last year’s team. Iona and Rider deserve to be picked 1 and 2 they have by far most returning talent.
As Siena fans we have luxury of knowing what was on the bench sitting out last season. On down side, I’d be lying if I didn’t say I’m a bit concerned about Elijah – was really hoping to get 25-28 min a game out of him. I like Sammy- but have no faith in his ability to stay healthy or play more than 3 or 4 min straight. Not sure if Young is ready for anything more than spot minutes. I’ve been saying since end of last season that this year’s team will go as far as Jalen, Don and Elijah can take us. Hopefully its nothing more than caution on Carm’s part, with limiting Burns playing time this preseason ( or maybe he has a minor nagging injury) But If Burns can only play once a week- I’d probably drop Siena down to 5th or 6th place myself. I like Gary and Luke- I think both will be good players for us- but it’s never a good thing to have to rely on freshmen too much

True about freshman, but we have some good freshmen and I still think we under estimate Manny.

No worries about being picked 6th. New coaching staff and Jalen and Manny are the only two MAAC known players to speak of. The MAAC Coaches have a long history of not dumping too many expectations on new members of their fraternity and also of protecting their own aka when a coach is on the hot-seat they'll often pick their team lower. Bottom line - cant wait for the season to start. Lets Go Saints!!!
