Any historians out there: Over the past 10 years can you name players who transferred out of Siena to go on to a successful career at a DI program

Patrick Cole transferred in and then transferred out and had success. The rest of the list hasn't done much yet: Breeden Burdine Brookins Audu White Wolfe Brandwijk Paige Wormley Clareth Larose Richard Shivers Oduro Bentley Penn Horn Seymour

Was very solid in his only season here and had an offseason to get better. Drake should be a very good team this year

He was decent at NCC afterwards but the guy didn't play D and just gunned and gunned. Roman Penn could end up being the best one. I'm skeptical on Oduro. Penn may not be a true PG but he is a well-rounded player. I think he'll do fairly well.

Jordan will do well at D2 level- he will be following quite of few Jimmy recruits that ended up at D2 – Jimmy Paige, WB, Maurice White to name a few That's because most of JP's recruits were D2 caliber players! Jimmy's teams would have done well at the D2 level. Too bad for him, Siena is a D1 school playing against D1 talent. Wait didn't one of Jimmy's team lose to a D2 program?

Jack McLinton did well. Paul williams finished fine at sBu. The other Lanier kid who went to Kent State was Conference MVP. Men’s AG did fine.
I guess it depends on upon who recruited the kid

LaRose started at Sacred Heart. Oduro and Penn should do well this year, but yeah most transfers went D2.

But he came and went so fast, it's almost hard to count him. I think Oduro is gonna struggle at the next level. He's not a great finisher, can't shoot FTs, doesn't pass well, and he is a poorer than average rebounder for his position.

Over the years we have been lucky that there haven't been more " transfer ups". Fran took one with him, jalen stayed, Marcus stayed, etc.

Fran took one with him, jalen stayed, Marcus stayed, etc. Once a player gets here they can do pretty much anything at Siena that they can do any other place save a very few. For the top players the ultimate goal is to make money playing basketball after college. Siena provides that. The only time we should ever lose good players is when the coach departs (unlike the NEC farm system). And pretty much that is the only time a good player leaves for another program.
