HJ good point regarding the veteran. Look what Brown had. Deane a great guard coach, he probrably volunteer. Time for the school to put the past behind them, as the saying goes stop cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I was told from a pretty reliable source no kids are going with him. The only kid that possibly could decide to join him is Carey, and for obvious reasons. Getting a NCAA waiver to play at GW right away wouldn’t be a problem. Carm is in a good spot to get this job. IF he gets it, D’Arg needs to insist on an a guy at least 55 sitting next to him. No more 20 somethings. He really needs a veteran coach, preferably an ex head coach that can help him on this unfamiliar adventure. Was thinking Cliff Warren would make sense. Former HC, recruiting ties in the DMV, Siena guy.

You’ll find out exactly what type of person he is by how many kids he takes with him. If he leaves the cupboard bare then screw him and I’ll jump on the bad mouth JC bandwagon. Siena fans had no problem with him bringing Carey and wanted him to try and get a couple other kids that decommitted from MSM. Don't believe they should expect anything different and/or think worse of him if it happens at Siena than this did last year when he brought Carey. My assumption when I heard the news was it will be open season on our recruits and our assets already with us for a year. I get it and understand it and why I feel the news will get worse rather than better as we play this thing out. Hopefully Carm can convince all the players/recruits to hang with the program. Go Saints!

1 year? I believe it is less than one year, that this guy is one and done. I had a feeling at some point this season that all of positive things JC was spewing and doing were too good to be true. Just a gut feel. Seemed like he was always saying the right things and saying exactly what all of the Siena faithful wanted to hear. I kept my mouth shut on here and to others, wanting to give him the benefit of the doubt and hoping I was wrong. Excited about the possibilities and future of the program being lead by him. But now with his decision to leave after LESS than 1 year, and seeing him already saying the same kind of Crap to GW and their fan's I cannot but help and think at some level this guy is a con artist. Not all that different from his predecessor, except JC was always positive, always saying the right things and always making us feel good. Unlike JP who we all knew was full of BS and did not attempt to hide that he was screwing the program. I know a lot of you will jump on me for posting these comments, however this is how I feel today after being a Saints fan for 30+ years.

Unbelievable...this one hurts more than any other...at least Orr left for a Power 5 job. But, it's all relative, given how far the MAAC has sunk, GW must look like a pretty big step up right now.

Over 55, head coach twice, currently between jobs/schools, and doesn’t he and his wife still have a house/farm in/near Ballston Spa? I still say he’s one of the best assistant coaches out there.

You guys want a coach who will stay for a bit and get the program rolling. Marist ignored me last year. You get either Langel or the George Mason assistant, Dane Fischer. I wanted Fisher for Marist last year. Watch for him. Would have to offer Langel over $500K for him to even listen. He is a hot coach now and should have really good teams the next two years. His next destination will be A-10 level, but he is in no hurry to leave.

Most fans don’t remember he even was the head coach at Fairfield I’m just making an assumption based on HJs comment. But, yes, I could see him coming back as an assistant assuming he still lives in Ballston Spa. He and his wife love the area. I don’t believe his wife went with him to CT and stayed on the farm but I’m not positive. I know she still lived there after M was hired at FF. I think he loves to coach, even if it’s as an assistant. It’s less stressful that being HC. Someone posted about MD, but I thought he and his wife move out of Amsterdam and into another State. But can’t remember those facts as well. That’s how I sort of came up with MB as fitting HJs stated criteria. Just a guess, that’s all.

I stopped posting for the past year because I would be endlessly attacked. When everything someone says sounds too good to be true it usually is. I just smelled a snake oil salesman. I don't deny that JC is a decent coach but I could see problems. Sometimes things happen fo the best.

Now we know why. #ConMan

If JC is a ConMan, as they say it takes one to know one. Maybe he and D'Arg did have something in common...

How much more do we have to take of this man posing as an AD with the administration apparently firmly behind him.

As far as Jalen leaving, his mother and grandmother come to all the games. They come from Rochester and I commend them for that. If he were to follow Jamion, I don't think that would be doable unless his family has considerable resources. I think if he left, it would be to someplace that his family could travel to. I heard that he would stay if Carm were made coach. I don't have enough information to determine if that would be our best move or not. Hopefully, we will know more soon.
