Fisher is supposed to be a leader. He should know better that when hes off he needs to make moves and KICK OUT. Not keep bulling his way to missed layups. Laughable some refuse to put this at the foot of the player at fault. MULTIPLE times Seymour was open on a wing or any number of other players and once Fisher starts that move its like playing old school lakers vs celtics... no way to stop the move once it starts... and it takes near 5 or 6 grueling seconds to watch the plodding move to it's end. As tony noted at times they were sending extra defenders and he still put the shots up. If you're doubled... someone else is open. I teach my soccer kids the same thing. That isn't rocket science. Four years in ... he should know.... after a few missed layups and a couple brick hooks you would think he wouldve adjusted.

and if Darwiche would shoot without hesitation (he CAN shoot) he can provide something to the team. If he wont shoot... you cant play him.

Well anyhow Siena has to figure out how to score more points- in last 8 games Siena has been over 60 points only once( 61 points vs FF) You can bet your bottom dollar that Quinny will double Jalen and Evan - with Manny and KaDeems man until Siena shows that they can make them pay for doing it. Unless one or both of them step up hard to play Manny and kadeem extended minutes together.Fisher must pass out of the double team. I'm going to guess Darwhichy gets another shot with limited minutes- Jamion has said the kid can shoot but hasnt shown it in games. They Gave TH another shot, but other than that one game, he still has the deer in the headlights look out there Going back to Darwiche as a reaction to a game that was lost due to cockiness and poor mental game is a step backward. We all know that by playing Smithen and Camper, you don't have great offense volume wise. However, you're talking a minimal loss of offense overall vs. a monster leap in defense. Siena is a defensive team right now. Have to accept it and move on to the next game. Hopefully, they won't be so cavalier with the ball, Fisher will make his damn layups, and he won't shoot a walk up three at the top of the key with 25 secs on the shot like he's some superstar. They were sloppy and overconfident and it blew up in their faces. That's why they lost. Have to learn to not take anything for granted and move on. This game was mostly a lesson in humility for them after a solid run of wins. I don’t think it will be major min for Darwiche, maybe a shift here or there for a few min to see if he can hit any shots. We desperately need Kadeem or Manny to step up or get more offense someplace to keep pressure off Jalen or Evan. I don’t think it would be a step backwards, unless Darwiche doesn’t give you anything, in which case he won’t get any time. And hey I’m just guessing maybe Darwiche doesn’t get any run

I'm going to agree with others here-- Evan had a bad game, he has had a great year. He has given us way more than I thought he would. The whole team has exceeded my expectations. lets just enjoy the last 3/4 weeks of season!!

He's an amazing rebounder and good at taking it to the basket and drawing fouls. Has also done surprisingly well getting the ball up against pressure when asked. Problem is, teams can ignore him from 3 and his free throw shooting is so bad he doesn't make teams pay for fouling him. He did a great job of transforming his body in the offseason and inevitably that is going to mess with your shot. Now he needs to put similar time into his shooting this offseason to become a dual threat.

This team needs Ratliff back to give them another threat from three. Many of the line ups JC puts out there allow the other team to collapse on Evan without having to worry about getting burned from beyond the arc.

I don't care if he's wide open (there's a reason for that!) he's shooting like 18% from three. Don't care if he makes them in practice no way he should take them unless the clock is running out.

the troublesome thing with Evan at times is his poor shot selection as has been mentioned here......and to go further, he really needs to curtail the turn around off the 1 foot fade away shot...……..many times, all he would need to do is turn around and go up strong for a normal shot, it may also result in him getting fouled so that could be another positive...………..sure he has hit a number of these, but I have a buddy who was keeping track of the times that Evan has done that fade away and by his account those are only being made at about a 30% clip, clearly not a pct that warrants a continual approach to that type of shot...…………but you know how players get, hey I made one so I can make another, and so on, but that doesn't necessarily equate it to being a good shot...……...... That 1 foot fade away lends itself perfectly for hightailing down to play defense instead of following your shot.... Just sayin.

espn all screwed up with stats Did you see the game? If so, you should have known the ESPN stats were wrong. Just own it. Don't blame ESPN.

Again, espn thinks every close shot is a layup without regard to the type of close range shot it actually is.

yeah he’s so bad on defense that the team is giving up 57 ppg in the maac. (Hint that’s sarcasm). Evan goes back on defense b cause that’s what he’s been told to do, just like that’s why he hardly entered the paint last year, he’s highly coachable. I agree with the poster who said that the big men on Siena get more than their fair share of the criticism.
Coach should have calmed the team down during the run. He did it in the first half after Iona scored 7 straight points and it led to Siena outscoring iona 12-5 to end the half to take the lead. why not the second?
