As I said before this game... 7-5 or better by January 1
Good grind win when those shots aren't falling. This was as I expected... A tell game. It was going to tell us quite a bit about where this team is at. Winning while not playing remotely your best and of course having players on your roster willing and able to step up and make plays when it was needed most. Siena is a little speed deficient but they mask it pretty well. Difference of a good coach.... Good one masks his team's weaknesses while taking advantage of its strengths. Put players in position to succeed

These are the kinds of games good teams win - not at your best but find a way to pull it out.
Really struggled shooting in the first half - maybe a result of the long layoff - but really picked it up in the second half.
One area I'd like to see some improvement ... at the free throw line. Limited sample size so far through three games but too many easy points left on the floor.
Still plenty of room to grow but I love what I've seen so far. This team enjoys playing with each other.

Completely agree with the comment regarding the free throws. Fisher was 5-8( missed 3 in a row). Heading into the game the team was shooting 62.5% from the line, last night was 14-21. Can't afford to leave that many points out there. If they can get up near 75% consistently I'd be very pleased

We also dodged a bullet on that last drive by the big lefty PG. I thought he got fouled, BUT teams that don't foul get those calls. Teams that are in the bonus every game at the 10 min have refs believing they re hackers. Nice to see things go our way for a change.

Need every point and need play as flawless as possible. Make foul shots, don’t turn it over, don’t foul etc... So far JC has compete buy in and the kids are executing. Pickett is an excellent get, we have a few good but one dimensional shooters and a lot of role guys. Team after 3 games is exceeding expectations and JC is what I suspected he would be....recruiting will improve and this program is going to be scary good! On a different note watched Holy Cross last night they look pretty good, going to be a tough out.

Put players in position to succeed Let's hope your 7-5 prediction is accurate... Siena is going to get a heavy dose of the patriot league in the next week. Holy Cross tomorrow, home games on Wednesday against Patriot favorite Lehigh and Colgate next Saturday. Plus Holy Cross again on the road later in the year. No game the rest of the way we can't win...on the flip side if we don't shoot well we can get beat by anyone too. Our margin for error is thin but the staff is getting the most out of these guys. And that's all you can ask for. Holy Cross will be a very tough test. They easily handled Stony Brook who was 2-0 coming into that game with wins over South Carolina and GW on the road. They also gave Providence everything they wanted on the road. They can shoot the three so the better team from deep likely wins this game. They also harass you on defense and are well coached. I'd expect we'll be 3-5 point underdogs.

The refs missed a million calls. Siena would have won by 10+ with a real crew.

If Sammy can finish around the basket a little stronger he and Evan could be a real nice 1-2 punch and hard for teams to handle. Would get us in bonus faster
