Eeeeeeeked one out! Team showed resilience and perseverance. Gotta like it! This coach is calm/cool/collected and the team picks up the same demeanor! No doubt, no panic just confidence. Have to love the way the kids stayed with it! and what a positive turn around! such a pleasure to watch the team in the huddle-arms circling each other all listening intently to their coach who's actually coaching. No pushing, shoving, red- faced spittle flying theatrics directed at one player. These guys clearly support each other as a cohesive team. Chemistry can't be bought but I guess it can be taught!

Biggest shot of the night was Seymour adjusting to the defense, stepping inside the 3 pt line, and drilling that long 2 with 1:00 left. Nice to see a kid adjust during a game like that. Loved that shot. I like what we are learning about Sloan's offensive game.

Loved that shot. I like what we are learning about Sloan's offensive game. Yes. He took a lot of criticism 'soft', 'no heart', etc. But JC saw through that and is maximizing his strengths. Seems like on of JC's strengths is identifying talent that others miss. Note the several players at MSM that went much higher. If that's a downside we have to live with here, things could be worse. Being competitive this year will go a LONG way to helping recruiting in the future.

This should be expected the rest of the year. It is the result of more 3 pt shots. a 3pt shot requires more energy to reach the basket and when it misses the rebound is almost inevitably a "long rebound", hence the low number of offensive rebounds for guys like Friday and Fisher. The ball is bouncing back out to about 2/3 to 3/4 of the distance of the original shot (depending on a lot of factors) so a 20 ft attempt that hits squarely can be expected to bounce back out to 12 - 15 feet (no bigs out there) and thus a lot of "off guard" rebound opportunities.

Good to win a close one early in season. Keep firing 3s, in a three point win it's the difference. 2-1 is ahead of par a win Sunday will really have this place giddy. Don't get carried away shit stirrer- its only 3 games into season, I know you predicted 5 or 6 wins, ( should I believe that? ) but good God man get ahold of yourself!! Don’t worry, after 10 more wins you can silence his account for a whole year.

I love his attitude! I would say he's a little overzealous as opposed to outrageous. I know one thing. We're going to be pretty good next year. (17-22 wins) I agree and I think you even put that win total low....we're going to be VERY good next year. But heck I think we can have a lot of fun this year! you too? so you have a team and program that bottomed out last year and is just trying to find its footing at 25 wins next year? That is one hell of a tall task.
