Must be a good student to consider Merrimack (academics)...why else? Marshall is good competition a CUSA program who beat Wichita State in the NCAA tournament last year.

It’s nice to see we have really expanded our recurring territory and the staff seems to have relationships at a lot of prep schools and highly rated high school programs Building relationships is what successful people do. This couldn't be anymore clear So the relationship was much longer than i was led to believe.

Well to be fair, US News has Merrimack ranked #50 (out of 196) in Regional Universities-North and they did beat out MAAC schools Iona (68) and St Peters (81) but not so good against #1 Fairfield, #8 Marist, #13 Quinnipiac, #15 Manhattan, #23 Canisius, #28 Monmouth, #35 Rider, #43 Niagara. Must have been academics (not so good academics). FWIW, Siena is the only MAAC school not ranked in this group due to a lack of diversity in academic majors, it is #135 (out of 233) in National Liberal Arts Colleges. How many potential recruits are lost due to the narrow focus of majors and mediocre ranking at that. (If I remember correctly, Craig Forth was one of them).

BigFan, I am not putting the young man down, just shaking my head over MTS's gold medal in "conclusion jumping". I agree, welcome Shawn, glad you are with the Saints.

He didn't say those were his final 3, just that he chose Siena over those two. He had several other offers besides them and never had a stated list of finalists. Why he mentioned just those three and not any of his other offers is beyond me. Curiously, Merrimack and Marshall aren't even listed on Verbal Commits among his offer list.

Seems like a fine young man that we'll all be proud to have as part of the Siena family. From a basketball perspective what I like most about this commitment is that he seems to be a great fit for Jamion's system.
