Very good commitment. A couple of more quality offers out. Maybe give one or two more. A SF and a center to this class would be a jackpot. What has signed already is very good. Looking up. Ratliff has been promised a scholarship next season, so there is only one more to give. If they can somehow close the deal with Ismael Cruz, the 2019 class would be the best Siena has had in years. In addition to Cruz, an outstanding 2019 class would include any of the following for the last spot: Gob Gabriel, Ray Somerville, or Oton Jankovic. That was really quick turnaround on Walker. He was just offered on November 11th. That's impressive recruiting given there being some pretty decent competition for this dude. This is how you build a MAAC contender. Looks like JC is starting to break through on some decent recruits. If they have a better than expected season and get the program out of the cellar, it's only going to get easier to get sought-after players.

Glad we got the kid. Looks like he can play, but is anyone else "cautious" on the offer being made 3 days ago and him taking it 2 days later? In November, it makes me wonder. IF it was May of '19, I could see the quick offer/acceptance.
I think we should save the 4th one too for '20. How many juniors do we have? After Khalids injury, we have 2, Friday and Huerter. I'd like to bring in 3 in '20

Somerville committed to Cal State Bakersfield but that would be a hell of a class if the staff can land Cruz

Great news on Walker! Let's get him signed today! Also, unless he graduates in 2020 and opts to do what Brett did not do, Khalil will be here for the next two seasons, not just next year. Finally, assuming no departures, we have scholarships for 2019-2020 committed to Friday, Huerter, Richard, Camper, Carey, Pickett, Seymour, Darwiche, Ratliff, Young, Sutherland and Walker. That would appear to leave only one more to give. Walker is a really terrific pick up...............KS, what is the story on Denzel Tchougang? ??

I don’t think that’s crazy timing. As for holding scholarships, I’m not a fan of that. We have 2 for that class so it’s not like we are completely full, and in this day and age people leave all the time before they graduate. Don’t just throw away the scholarship, but if you can get a top-20 NERR kid like Gob Gabriel, a kid who scored 17 a game on EYBL this summer and has high-major offers in Ish Cruz, or even one of the Montverde kids, you do it. On a side note, not entirely sure but I believe we will have a scholarship to use at the semester break on a midyear transfer if one pique’s the staff’s interest. One name to watch could be Makai Ashton-Langford, a Mass Rivals kid whose dad is spouting off on Twitter about him not getting enough PT at Providence. He was a fringe top 50 recruit in the 2017 class, but he’s been bad at Providence. Bigger programs would probably get involved, but Carm has some ties with Mass Rivals so maybe we make some headway there if he does in fact leave early (which looks like by far the most likely outcome at this point).

A couple points you made about the Providence kid makes me shutter. Reminds me of a time not long ago.

With Walker and his father having been a coach I am not bothered by his quick decision, if it was quick.

I have no info about Denzel.
As for Walker, his HS coach had tweeted that Jamion visited Bishop Sullivan on October 24. Over the years I have heard many coaches say that they want to get their coveted recruits to visit first or visit last. The latter is what appears to have happened with Walker.

Isn't that what we always say we want to happen when recruits visit campus, and knocked Patsos for never doing?

This staff really works the recruiting trail As for holding the ship. normally not a fan of that, but at this point I wouldn't sign a role player, only use ship if we can land a "impact" player

It’s nice to see we have really expanded our recurring territory and the staff seems to have relationships at a lot of prep schools and highly rated high school programs
