Good D by Huerter down the stretch. It couldn't have been easy for him.

No quit in this team and Pickett looks like he may be a star in the making. Degnan - incredibly efficient game and timely triple when the team needed a spark late.
Still not sure how this season's going to play out, but very optimistic about the present and future.

I know it's just a game and a half in, but who saw this for Degnan? He and Jamion would seem to be a good match. If Sloan does nothing but set picks and shoot threes all season, we stole him. I actually said in an earlier thread that I hoped he had finally found a coach who would allow him to play on the perimeter. He is not a post player, and never has been. Looking forward to seeing him continue his strong play

Degnan played the game of his life!!! I'm happy for the kid! He never quit! Coach called him the toughest kid he knows! Love the energy & optimism from our coach after the game!

Last season Siena would have lost to GW with Patsos.

Last season Siena would have lost to GW with Patsos. GW isn't good but this is true.

To be fair, we lost to a much better GW team, by 2, in '16

To be fair, we lost to a much better GW team, by 2, in '16 I was at that game. We should have won, IMHO. We had considerably more talent than this year. It may be about the players in the NBA and perhaps among the blue bloods, but at the mid-major level, it is more about the coaches.

The team looked great tonight... crazy that players JP sat on the bench last season are making such a big difference this year. Impressive what Jamion has got out of the returning players and how he’s integrated the new guys. Very excited for next weekend, Siena is back and the MAAC should be worried... not many critics saw this coming. Hope to see many of you at Mohegan.
Also it’s great to see the guys not playing afraid... with JP it was one mistake and you were benched... one bad shot or a shot he didn’t agree with and you were out. Not anymore, these guys have so much confidence, Ratliff threw up 3 triples in one possession and finally hit the third. In the JP era he’s pulled after taking the second shot and missing.
Just feels like a new culture, crazy it’s happened this soon. It’s early but let’s hope it continues at Mohegan

Our senior group never seemed to make a big jump shot to close out a game like Degnan did tonight. Been a long time since thats happened. It was fun to watch.

Encouragement and optimism mean a LOT to 18-22 year old players.
