Last two days seem to be signs of a move in the right direction. Today is a big one with 5 games the MAAC could easily lose. Going to need to win a couple if we are going to get back up to the mid-20s. Hope it starts with Siena.

Today really has to be a big day for the MAAC - six games on the docket, all of them winnable. Oddsmakers have St. Peter's, Quinny and Marist all favored by 5+ points. Siena (+4), Monmouth (+4) and Rider (+2) all road dogs. MAAC needs at least 4 or 5 wins today - starting with the Saints.

Tough loss for the gals..I called it first game of the season when I saw them, their talent level is way down from what we are use to seeing from Iona. They do however still have a few kids that can play. MAAC is horrible this year, I see a bunch of teams between 8-10 and 10-8, MAAC tournament is going to be a shit show, I see no clear cut favorite

Idon't know but if we get Burns, we may not be too far from the promised land. I see some of the relative scores and, with the exception of the Bonnie's game, we have been right in there.

Gorvy posted an interesting stat- JC has never had a losing conference record. Going into this season I thought no way that could happen, but hey who knows, the MAAC isn’t that strong. For Siena fans this is a good year for conference to be down, good chance Siena exceeds expectations. Will be fun to see what JC and staff can do this year. The staff hasn’t been perfect, but what I can’t fault them with, the effort is there. This is hardest working staff we have had since the Fran years. And as we often see the harder you work the luckier you seem to be. Anyway, going to be fun to root these over achieving Siena kids on!!

My unscientific rankings of the MAAC thus far: (Note, I've seen everyone play except Niagara and Rider.) 1. Rider (haven't played many games yet, but most talent in the league) 2. Marist (Experienced team, Dunne has them playing pretty well) 3. Niagara (someone has to be #3) 4. Canisius (Best player in the league and two top 10 guys, no inside game yet) 5. Iona (best coach in the league, he'll have them competitive) 6. Siena (scrappy team that will continue to surprise) 7. Fairfield (meh) 8. Quinipiac (expected more from them, could see them move up the charts) 9. St. Peters (meh) 10. Manhattan (yuck) 11. Monmouth (yuck x 2)
