Isnt Kadeem still on the team? Id much rather have him run the point and get the ball into Richards, whos our best perimeter scorer, hands. He'll also set the tone defensively. you are so right on Smithen, from a returning player standpoint, easily he is the best PG option...............if ball is stuck in Kahlil's hands, not a good thing, he has a "loose" handle for sure................also, defense will suffer with Fisher & Friday on the floor, if they are guarding athlete bigs or wings, not to mention they have limited offense in the uptempo scheme.................BUT saying all of that, we are dealt with the cards we have for now, Rome needs to be built, perhaps not in 1 day but hopefully SOMEDAY soon..................

I think JC wants a lead guard who is going to look to score more than Kadeem. He’ll play a lot in a supporting role, but the ball will be in the hands of the scoring guards.

I am very skeptical about Khalil's ball handling to see him as the lead point guard. I think defenders will pressure Khalil to cough up the ball more than we care to see. I'd have him as the 2 guard with his scoring ability. I foresee Kadeem opening the season as the starting point guard with Khalil at the 2. This may shock people but I would not be surprised to see a starting back court of Pickett and Camper. From what I've seen they both have offensive and defensive strong points. At some point Darwhiche may see a good run at point.

If Smithen is our best defender and assigned to cover the opposing team's best backcourt player, then asking him to also be the primary ball handler in JC's system would be a lot to ask.

Not sure his offense needs a "true" PG anyway. I just like Richards on the wing where he belongs, scoring the ball. I see Camper as a 4. The kid from Syracuse should start at the 3. Pickett at the 2. Fisher/Friday at the 5.
