Pretty sure Carm and the staff have a pretty good handle on the Friday situation and a contingency in mind. This isn’t something you just wing! The kid has had three coaches in three years so maybe he wan a to see how this one works out before making any commitments

Well if he leaves, our center position in 2020 goes from solid, to a HUGE question mark. Can’t just lose a 24 yo guy and not think it’s a significant loss. He’s the personality type I’d think would want to stay in school for another year for sure.

Talked to Sammy a few times at events. Admittedly he's not about to tell anyone that he hates Siena, but he seems pretty intent on staying.

That would make sense knowing Sammy pretty well too. Loves it here at Siena. Content on being a bench player. Hopefully he gets hungrier next year!

I dunno if he's content to sit on the bench or if it's a case of him knowing where he stands.
He will openly admit that he struggles with stamina, so I don't see him looking for 30+ minutes. I think he just wants to bring his best for a full season for once.
Again, at this point this is all conjecture. Just based on his attitude when we've talked.

If Sammy Friday is content to continue to play 15 mpg next year doing the types of things he's done over his last 10 games in Siena uniform...I'm ok with that.

He’s been very good in a somewhat limited role. Bigs usually take longer to develop at this level, 3 different coaches (one being Patsos😏) and an injury certainly didn’t help his confidence and development. I thought under JC he finally was about to turn a corner but he got hurt early. The kid has nice footwork inside. I’m sure Carm has a pretty good idea about his status next year.

Young, and dont forget Denzel, would give us a very solid 3-headed monster at center. I wouldnt be surprised to see a smaller lineup occasionally with Golson at center in '20-'21 also.

Burns is going to be hard to replace. Saints may have to just dominate even more with guard play and guard depth. If Pickett stays, that's quite possible.
I still think BK might be part of the answer. He's 6-8, 200 and skilled now. A year from now he could be 6-9, 215-220. They might be better off with him at center.
I you have Pickett, Carey, Carpenter, Harris, King, Ratliff, and maybe Gray or someone like him....why would you ever need another PF when you have Camper and Sutherland combo too. As long as Camper is getting 7+ rebs a game, you're going with a guard at the 4.
As of now the 5 would be BK, Friday, Young, Golson, Tchougang.
In my mind, BK would be the long term favorite. He's got the best athleticism plus skill combo and might be the only one with the potential to develop into a Burns long term.

BK can pop out and shoot some, Golson is a really strong finisher inside. Golson can body up guys down low even though he’s undersized. I think his floor is like Abdulai Bundu from Quinny... physical frontcourt guy who could be the beneficiary of some dump-offs in 4-out basketball. That said, I think Golson has higher upside because he has more ball skills.

Still, if your offense is based on a skilled big attacking the rim off pick and rolls....BK's skilled assortment of hops, pivots, step thrus, and shooting skill is of huge benefit. Some guys, you can tell, are just more comfortable and skilled attacking in the lane. I think BK is that guy and has athleticism to go with it. If you want your most versatile 5 man to go with your versatile 1-4 guys, you probably go with him.
