Agree on the offers but my pony is the hustle and level of involvement compared what we have been use to and more irons in the fire is better than hanging out hat on one kid per position But do you know what happens when the lower kids (who have been offered) say they want to accept it before the top targets do. Seems like a very possible scenario esp if the lower kids know they are further down the list? I think the kids who are at the floor are still good but I bet they are contingent to some degree

It’s like picking a girl to take to the prom. Do you put all your energy into the one girl you really want? Or do you put out 4 invitations, and hope she takes it before #4 does?? These kids are like girls. They want to be courted. They want the school to show them the love (see Gary Harris). It is good to see the staff being active, but let’s get our first choice!

Agree with all you day and I think our staff can do it. Looks like Simon can recruit and I like that we have expanded a little into the Midwest while keeping the core areas intact.

The way I see it, especially in the early signing period with live periods to come, is that you are still in the “feeling each other out” stage. If you go all in on 5 guys hoping to get 3 and they blow up, you are behind the 8-ball in August/September. Coaches get their calls answered a little easier when they have offered the kid, and the goal is basically to get as many of these 25/30 guys on campus for unofficial visits in June, July, and early August. Then the pool basically sorts itself out and you wind up with 7/8 guys who want to take OV’s/are seriously interested in Siena and you role from there. The offer isn’t the be-all, end-all anymore but rather a foot in the door.

I like to think that's the staff's approach to recruiting.

Video is impressive catch and shoot, shoot of the bounce. Athletic and decent handle. Other offers in our wheelhouse. Teammate of Ings who is at rider so he is familiar with MAAC
